The Fight of Dark and Light

Chapter 1

^The Syllaian Armor (As you all can tell, I was on discord XD)

~5 years later~

I woke up next to Ryan, his arm around me tight. Even after that night, I could see why he doesn't want to leave me. I quickly kissed the top of his forehead, and got changed into an all black shirt that showed my stomach, and put Syllaian armor over. I loved the designs, the way that the top part of the armor is likr a crop top, attached to a flowy bottom piece with leather boots. I quickly admired myself in the mirror, as I grabbed Corgi's leash and headed out.

I couldnt sleep last night, despite the protection barrier around my room, and Ryan's warm, protective body against mine. The little sleep I did manage to get, was interrupted by a sick feeling in my stomach. Maybe it was the poison still in my blood? I couldn't tell... I decided to go to the village elder, to see what was wrong with me.

My grandmother, Marii-Hime, died two years ago of old age. She was supposed to be 97 last year...

Last year, when I turned 18, I took her place as the Queen of Sylla.

Me and Ryan were still dating, although people refer to him as Sir or King Ryan. Its crazy.

The others...

Autumn, Max, Quinn, Kara, and Ayano went to search for Sheik. I havent seen them in the 3 years that had gone by. I miss them so much. The others stayed here, mainly Thalia despite her protests to go with Max.

Thalia was cured about a month after the whole fiasco happened. The doctors still needed time for my cure, because they hadn't seen anything like it. Thalia right now is training with Amai and Jess to grow stronger than she was before.

Leo and Dale... They both mysteriously disappeared about a year after. They said that they were going to get the people from my old village. They never came back. Everyone assumed the worse, but I know that they're alive. Somewhere...

Rachel...

I choked back a sob as I thought of her.

Rachel died the night of the fire. She tried to save me and Thalia.

I still remember her. The way her eyes shone bright, even in the darkest of times. How brave she had been, to step into that fire and save me and Thalia. Not a day goes by that I don't think about her.

I finally made it to the village elders home, and knocked twice. In front of my eyes, I see the village elder. Griselda.

Griselda was about 89 years old, maybe 4'5. I don't know.

"Ah, come in child," she smiles. I return it, as I let Corgi run into the house.

"Hello Griselda, I have something on my mind..." I started. Just as I said those words, my stomach started to churn. I ran to the nearest waste basket, and threw out whatever contents of my lunch I had left. 

"Oh dear, are you ok?" She cried out, as she pulled my hair back.

"T-thanks Griselda. I'm fine..." 

"Alright deary, now tell me what your symptoms are. Maybe I can make a small remedy," She smiled. 

"Well, every morning I always feel sick, and sometimes in the middle of the night too. Even though I havent been eating a lot, my weight increases. Also, Ive been having fitful nights, to the point where I just move to Autumn's empty room. What do you think is wrong?" I looked at her. Her dark hazel eyes widened. 

"Oh dear. Nadia, have you been... intamite with Ryan... as of late..." She asked, as she went to a cupboard to get some tea. 

"Um..." I turned a small tint of red, as I eyed the promise ring on my left hand. 

"Im guessing you did. Nadia I got some good or bad news to tell you. Depends on your perspective..."

"You dont think I'm..." 

"Yes Nadia. I dont think. I know that youre pregnant. I suggest telling Ryan as soon as possible." 

"B-b-but...." 

"No buts sweet. You should be on your way now." Griselda picks up my tea, and puts it in the sink. 

"Thank you, amd goodbye..." I mumbled. I picked up Corgi, who was hanging out near the door, already ready to leave. 

I walked out of the small adobe and screamed.

Pregnant.

The one word that I should be happy about. I looked at my stomach, a small bump forming.

Shit.

How the hell am I gonna tell Ryan? Or anyone else? How am I going to fight? I cant even wear the Syllaian armor without risking the baby. My whole stomach is wide open for someone to strike at.

And the poison. What if it kills the baby?

So many questions with so little answers.

I walked back to the palace doors, attacked by a faded dark blue haired girl, and a girl with dark hair and a blue streak. 

"W-who are you?! Guards!" I screamed. 

"Already forgot about us? Well... it has been a while... also my and Ayano's hair is different..." The faded blue hair girl stated. I gasped, as tears filled my eyes. I remembered her scent, a mixture of strawberries and cream. And the other scent also, dark coal kissed by the ocean. 

"Ayano... Autumn... I missed you!" I cried out as I hugged them both. 

"Ma'am, I heard your cry, are you ok? Who are these people?!" One of the guards yelled. 

"Sorry Christian, I didnt mean to startle you. I just panicked. Sorry!" I smiled, the first I made in a long time. "How come your and Ayano's hair changed?" 

"Oh, well Ayano wanted to have colored hair, but since I couldnt ask Ryan if it was ok... I decided to give her a small front chunk of her hair. She wanted purple, but it faded to blue because we ran out of dye." 

"Oh, that makes sense. How was the search for Sheik?" I asked. 

"Shes out there still. We saw her and battled to the near death. Me and Quinn healed them before their time was up. Sorry I let you down..." she frowned a little. 

"Its okay. Im just glad that your alive - oof!" I yelled out, as two people from behind tackled me to the ground. 

"Hey Nadia! Long time no see!" Quinn yelled. 

"Quinny, we should tell her asap!" Kara giggled. 

"Kara! Quinn! Oh its so good to see you, but I cant breathe!" I gasped. 

"Oops. Hey, ooooo, girl, you gained some weight...." Kara says as she looks at my stomach. 

"Kara!" Autumn whines as she lightly punched her. 

"So... what else happened?" I asked, as I softly chuckled. 

"I got bit by a shadow-shifter..." Ayano sighs. 

"Wait... what?" I exclaimed. Ayano took off the fingerless gloves that I didnt notice, and I saw two small holes near her wrist. "What are you going to tell your brother?" 

"Easy peasy. Just tell him, 'Hey big bro, I got bit by a shadow-singer!'" 

"YOU WHAT?!?!" A voice screams out in the distance. 

"Holy crapoo, well Im out of this family reunion. Who wants coffee?" Autumn snickered. 

"Sure, why no-" I stopped. Crap, I cant have coffee. "Ill go with you, but I dont want any." 

"You dont want any? I thought you lived for that shit..." Kara complained. 

"Im just, not in the mood. Wait... wheres Max?" 

"Most likely making out with Thalia, bringing her to bed." 

"Not funny Autumn... You know what? Lets just go." 

We all walked out of the palace doors once again, while Ryan makes a fuss over Ayano's bite, Griseldas face still in my head. 

I know that your pregnant.
