Chapter 1

I haven't been feeling well lately. I've been throwing up every morning. I get these weird cravings. So I called up my best friend, Rina.

"Hello?" Her voice came through the phone. "Hey Rina. I have a problem." I replied. "Oh, what is it?" She asked, concerned. "Well I keep on throwing up and I'm getting weird cravings. I don't know what's going on."

"Erm, did you and Justin, ya know, lately?" She asked. "Umm, two weeks ago. Why does that matter?" I asked, confused. "Mia, take a minute and think about your symptoms for a minute. Did you and Justin use protection?" She asked. My mind went blank.

Tears began to roll down my face. "Rina, oh my god. We didn't. I'm late. He's got his career and he'll leave me." I said, now sobbing. "Girl, he loves you. He won't leave you. I'll be right over with some tests, okay?" She said, soothingly through the phone.

"Yeah, ok. Thanks Rina." I replied. "Anything for you, babygirl." She said and hung up.

I put my phone on the nightstand and sighed.

I sat nervously on the couch, waiting for the time to pass by so I could check the tests.

Rina grabbed my hand, "Everything's gonna be alright." She said, soothingly. I sighed, "I hope so." I told her.

Beep beep. The timer on my phone went off. I quickly rushed up the stairs, Rina trailing behind me.

I looked at all the tests. Every single one of them, with the same result.

Positive.

I sunk to the floor and began to cry. Rina wrapped her arms around me.

"Rina, his career is the best it's been for years right now. This baby is going to ruin it. I can't do this to him." I said, my voice shaking.

"Mia, what are you saying?" She whispered, knowing what was coming up.

"I need to leave. Leave him. Leave somewhere far away."
