Chapter 2 ~ Trust

Ello! Welcome to the second chapter of pet! I hope you enjoy it!! I'm sorry it took so long! XD!!!!!! Now lets begin!!

It was silent. It was cold and it was lonely. Naruto hated it. The chains on his wrists and ankles dug into his skin and sucked greedily at his charkra. He hated silence. He hated being left alone with his thoughts.

And yet thinking was all he could do here. The walls where bare cement, there was a single door and there was him. 

There was no way to tell time here. No way to know if people where out there searching for him. The only human interaction he got was when Orochimaru came and even then he wished the snake sannin wouldn't. The door clicked open and Orochimaru came in.

"Hello Naru-chan." Naruto gazed blankly up at the sannin. Rule one of being captured, don't speak and you won't reveal anything. "You look awful lonely in here so I decided to visit." The pale man didn't seem to mind the fact that the blonde didn't talk, infact he seemed to enjoy it. "I intercepted a message from Kohona today." Instantly the blank look was gone from the blue eyes. What did this mean? Who was in trouble? "They have officially named you a missing nin. Only took them a week."

A week. That's how long Naruto had been gone. Tears sprang up into his eyes and he looked away from the Snake sannin, biting his lip. He could understand, he was a Jinchuriki. He was dangerous without a village controlling him. But Sasuke had been gone rouge for three years and he still wasn't a missing nin. It wasn't fair! The blonde had done so much for the village.

A hand grabbed Naruto's chin and suddenly he was looking at Orochimaru's yellow eyes. The blonde shuddered, memories flooding in.

"Get it!"

"Demon!"

"Monster!"

"Just go and die already!"

No! No! Konoha was his home. 

"What have they ever done for you?" Orochimaru continued, "After all you have done, what did they give to you? Hmm?" Orochimaru paused waiting for an answer. The Sannin tskd and let go of the boys chin moving away to lean against the wall. "Glares. Glares and hatred. That is what you have gotten Naru-Chan. And for what?! For something out of your control?! Or do you like it? Are you really that in love with that pathetic villiage that you are happy to let them walk all over you? If it were me I'd -"

"Shut up!" Naruto shook, his voice, though raspy, rang out clearly through the room. He looked up at Orochimaru, eyes blazing. "You don't know anything! You don't know anything about me! Or about the villiage! Your just a bastered that-"

Orochimaru strode forward, his hand a flash as he slapped the blonde. "I would be careful what you said boy. We are a lot more similar then you care to think."

Naruto turned away, hiding his red cheak. Orochimarus eyes softened, the bite leaving his voice as he murmered, "Poor Naru-Chan. I could help you, you know. Make all the pain go away."

Naruto opened his mouth then closed it. He bit his lip, "How?"

The Snake Sannin smiled. "You'll have to trust me."

Naruto laughed. "Trust you! You kidnaped and experimented on people! And if they didn't work you casted them out and left them to die!"

"I!" Shouted Orochimaru in rage, "It was not me whom experimented on those poor souls! I found them and attempted to help them, nothing was forced onto them and they could go as they pleased! It was Danzo who experimented on them. Obsessed with making kekkai genkais and making the Leaf the strongest villiage!"

Naruto was taken back, Orochimaru was supposed to be the bad guy here. "There had to be something in it for you. You wouldn't be willing to help me out of the goodness of your heart!"

Orochimaru turned away from the Jinchuriki and made a visible effort to calm himself. The Snake Sannin turned back to the blonde, "But I do want to help you Naru-Chan." Orochimaru said, smiling softly. "There is nothing in it for me."

The blonde glared at the older male for a couple more seconds. "Why? You don't know anything about me."

Orochimaru smirked, "I know more then your 'friends' do. I know you are the Jinchuriki of the Kyubii no Kitsune. I know that you resent Sasuke, because of the attention he gets and how he has everything handed to him. I know that little by little you are being crushed by your 'friends'. I know that you are not truly the idiot you portray your self to be."

Orochimaru smiled calmly at the shocked blonde. The snake Sannin opened the door and was about to step through when he paused. "I know that you trust me more then your 'friends' because not once in this conversation did you pretend to be an idiot."

Naruto flinched backwards and Orochimaru gave him a smile as sweet as burnt syrup. "Call out if you need me Naru-Chan." And then the Snake Sannin left. Leaving Naruto alone with his thoughts once more.
