My Hunter Experience - Ashley

My Experience- 8/24/12

This is going to be very emotional for me to write b/c it's the first time we ever met Matt. Okay here we go...

Okay so I had been on Twitter and I found out that Matt was going to perform in LA at a festival so I called my cousins Cristal & Arelly and told them. So I asked my dad if I can go & he told me that I would have to pay for half of my ticket so I did and we we're all able to go. But there was a problem cause since we bought them on ticketmaster at a Walmart. It didn't tell us about the pre-party for whoever had VIP. (Aka Us) but we knew we read it on the description so I told my dad & he called radio stations asking about it and finally on 8/24/12 @ 11:12 am my dad got a call from Tatiana from Univision & she told him all the info for the pre party. So when I came out of school I was smiling cause I was finally going to meet Matt. Here's the convo:

D: hey why are you happy? Finally like your new school?

A: no. I'm happy cause I won't see it for a while and I'm going to see Matt tomorrow.

D: maybe not. We have to go to LA today cause something happened. Your aunt got in an accident.

A: Whattt!? Who?

D: a lady Tatiana called me today.. And we have to leave right now bc the pre party starts at 6.

Once I realized he was just kidding.. (This actually went on longer but Ima make it short lol)

A: omg dad you scared the shit out of me! I thought you we're being serious. BUT WHAT A PRE PARTY!?

D: yes. So you need to go home get your bag, and let's go.

A: where's my mom?

D: with your sister buying poster stuff at the 99¢ store

A: you guys know me so well.

So we did exactly that we picked them up & then went home to get my packed bags & headed towards LA.

On my way over there I just listened to music and was happy the whole time, almost crying cause I was finally going to meet my idol.

When I got to LA it was like 4:30 and I went to get ready at cristal's house, once we were ready we left to pick up Arelly. After that we got on the freeway heading to the Omni Hotel where it was taking place.

On our way over there it was soooooo fun. We listened to music and made weird faces to cars. One kid even got in trouble by his mom for making a face back at us. Lol.

So once we got there we waited for the party to start. So we were on social media and I saw tio Richy post about how it's been a long day and that they were gunna rest.. So we got very bummed out bc we weren't gunna meet him. That is until we scrolled down a little more and found a specific tweet that he had posted with a picture of his view. In which you could see staples center & Nokia theatre, so we obviously knew where they were-LA Live so we went on Google maps & we found out the hotel name and Cristal & Arelly were saying we should go and I thought a) why can't we call my dad? And they said bc it'll take too long for him to get here. & b) we can get in trouble of they find out. To which they didn't care & said they wouldn't find out lol so we went back & forth arguing until they took my iPad and started running & when they stopped we were already pretty far from the Omni hotel so we decided to keep running. Halfway there my dad calls me & he's like are you guys in yet? And I was like uh yeah. Dad: oh okay great call me when it's time to go

Me: okay bye. *ends call* you guys wanna keep going?

Cristal&arelly: yessss!

So we kept running for like 5 min & we finally got there

SHOUT OUT TO MAPS FOR LEADING THE WAY! Lol

So we were there for like 10 min playing around the lobby and being dumb lol and then I told them we should leave bc it was getting pretty late. But then Cristal noticed something & that's the thing. We all clicked.

Cristal: h20 music fest credentials

Arelly: studio 3

Me: that's in level 3

One of them lol: we'll let's go!

*on the way up the stairs*

Arelly: Ashley your mom is taking care of matts little brother right?

Me: what? Lol

Arelly: we'll we have to have a back up story just in case they find us.

So I was tweeting them to come down while Cristal & Arelly were singing.

I was about to tweet it when I look up bc the stairs were about to end and I nearly fall to my knees when I see him approaching the stairs.

Me: OMG! CRISTAL LOOK FORWARD!

C: OMG! *starts crying*

A: MATT!

Matt: hey, you guys know who I am?

Us: naaahh. *showing him our hunter necklace* lol

Matt: aw! That's so cool!

C: can I have a hug?

M: of course!

So we talked for a while more and he told us a couple of secrets :D lol. We also took a pic with him and he tweeted us AHHHH and then he told us to make a fan club for La and that he would make it OFC.

Then we went down the stairs & talked even more! Lol we finally separated our different ways and we left the hotel crying down the streets of la, you know? The usual.

When we got back the coordinator in charge of the pre party was like

Rachel: you guys look like you just ran a mile!

Us: 4 actually!

R: what happened?

So we told her the story & she called her assistant and she was like aw these girls are so cute & then she got us water 💁 lol and then we watched the live music later on and finally called my dad I pick us up. Oh and I told him what happened & he was like I'm not gunna tell your parents but you have to tell them after the show. So we agreed on that and when we got to cristals house we showed our family & then went inside the room, made a poster for him, made @HuntersLA, & lastly tweeted him thanks.
