Today at school was different from most days. I finally had friends. Ones who would walk with me to my locker and classes. Best friends. I thought to myself. There something with that Gale kid. We seem to click as almost like a brother sister bond. This bond might just be unbreakable. Before I knew it I was walking to out of my last period class and into the parking lot. As I approached my car, I saw a figure leaning against it.
"Hmm." I cleared my throat. Now I know, it was Odair. he cocked his head around to look at me then nodded his head upward and turned his head back around. I walk over in front of him and stare into his sunglasses that are covering sea green pools.
"can I help you?" I ask tapping my foot.
"ha. nice car Everdeen. I've seen better I'm the dump." he smirks and I shrug.
"it gets me to when and where I need to go to. workers for me."
"not for your reputation." he mutters. I roll my eyes at the society we have current day.
"look. I may not have the money to buy a sports car, but I have some character and Real personality. Call me when you get that." he just keeps on that stupid smirk.
"you'll have to give me your number first."
"in your dreams odair." he raises his eyebrows. he leans forward and puts his lips by my ear. not touching. but lightly brushing as he speaks. I bite my tongue to not interrupt him.
"your right Everdeen..you are in my dreams." he stands up straight and walks to the group of kids laughing with smirk on there pretty little faces. I roll my eyes and swear to myself as I open my car down and start the ignition. I pull out of my parking spot and start to turn out of the school parking lot.
"Bye Everdeen." peeta calls in my direction and his whole group laughs. Just while they are still in sight I show them my middle finger. A few snicker others glare. I smile and speed away.
~Finnick~
I pull away from Katniss and walk away back to my group. When I get into the circle, peeta pats my shoulder.
"She sure is something." Peeta mutters and he smirks.
"oh please. I can have her wrapped around my finger in no time..just like all the other girls in this school" I adds. Gale scoffs.
"problem?"
"no, I'm just saying. I met her. she sure is some stubborn girl. Good luck." Gale smirks.
"who the hell does she think she is?" glimmer squeaks.
"Glimmer. face it. ALL THE BOYS WANT HER. NOT YOU." clove yells clearly annoyed by glimmers stupid comment. I know she likes peeta
I know he's hooked up with her before. Oh well.
Glimmer glares at clove then goes back to being all girly. I wonder what this katniss girl is up too. I see her pull out of her parking spot and peeta yells:
"Bye Everdeen!" the whole group laughs slightly then she flips us off.
"bitch." Glimmer mutters quietly.
"Glimmer. She's not worse than any of us." Gale says annoyed.
"does someone have a soft spot for Everdeen?" Cato smirked.
"nope." Gale replies casually. There is something with this girl. She will not make any of us different. but there is one thing in her that's different. She has fire. She's our little girl on fire.
