Fragile looking ankles stumbled forward. Someone or something pushed her. She didn't know.

"H-H-" holding her breath, she knew it was wise to just keep as quiet as possible.

She blinked several times trying to see through the thick cloud of darkness. The room had no source of light that was visible to her.

"Where am I?" She whispered to herself as she was about to run her fingers through her hair, only to gasp as she felt them tied in several small buns, she paid no mind to it however.

She tapped her foot against the floor gently, hearing a tap-tap. Wood. She was standing on a wooden floor. Alarmed, she looked around as soon as she heard a creek behind her. Swallowing the lump in her throat she almost yelled as she turned around only to be blinded by the sight of a sudden light flickering on. She squinted her eyes, seeing different shades of yellow dots filling her vision.

From the ceiling hung a single rope attached to an abandoned bulb- or so it seemed to her. She took in her surroundings: a simple dark brown wooden floor complimented the shade of her bare feet. She directed her attention back to the light that was emitting its own aura of nothing.

She gulped down another lump in her throat as she stared at the black walls surrounding her. Sudden cheering followed from behind these walls and got louder and louder. Laughter from the crowd, silly music and strange noises- all of the above frightened the 9 year old, little girl immensely.

"No! I'm on a stage!" She panicked as she hurriedly turned around to find an exit and avoid her greatest fear.

Suddenly lights of all colours fell on her as soon as she saw the black walls or rather curtains part slowly.

"Oh my god!" The poor girl gasped as she was unable to exhale.
The girl widened her eyes when she saw the satin, weaved, pointy, lavender coloured shoes her feet were wrapped in. She was wearing a dark purple dress that reached above her knees and black socks under her knees to complete the look which left her knees bare.

"How?!"

She gasped as a mirror appeared in her hand and saw a reflection she didn't recognize. Her face was paler than usual and a fake smile was painted on her face with blood red lipstick and curling ink stained eye lashes. Her face was decorated with random droplets of paint as if someone sprinkled it over her. Her hair were tied in several buns around the top of her head forming a crown.

She looked hideous. The girl whimpered as she felt a cold hand on her shoulder which made her drop the mirror making shards of glass splatter all over the floor.

"It's your turn now." A deep growling voice said behind her.

"I'm done with you clowns all you do is torture me!" She grit her teeth.

"It's not your choice." The clown growled.

The poor girl had no choice as she was pushed onto the stage, being the only female clown between the older clowns.

"And now for the main act you all been waiting for! Lady Lotusheart!"

The girl squirmed as she was seized by the clowns, making sure she stayed in position. The crowd laughed being oblivious of the clowns' true intentions.

"Tonight will be even more special since we have a new friend joining the fun! Sir Daren!" The crowed cheered and applauded as another clown made his way onto the stage, locking his eyes with the girl, both the same age. The girl couldn't miss those eyes. She could recognize those eyes from anywhere. Her first love.

"Tonight-" Daren grinned as his features were themed with white, black and red.

He took out a bright red collar that was decorated with small black diamond patterns and clicked it around the girls neck, before she could utter a sound. She wanted to scream but her voice was gone.

"Lady Lotusheart will be mute." He grinned at the crowd and did a funny, dance like gesture.

The crowd scattered along with the clowns.

"Tonight we shall break her bones." She screamed loudly but no sound came out and the clowns mirrored her with satisfied sinister laughs.

She tried to struggle free. Every night it was another kind of torture, unthinkable things. That night the stage was as silent as could be. As usual she ended up with bruises, however this time there were purple marks underneath her skin. Her  make-up smeared all over her face from all the crying she did the night before. She was blacking out again and slowly disappearing from their world. The words still lingered in her mind as she woke up, soaked in her own cold sweat.

"We'll see you again."

She knew what she had to do. It was the only way to stop this never ending cycle of constant fear. As her 12 year old body shook she tried to drift away from the thought haunting her.

"Never again! This has to stop!"

It was another Halloween night, the perfect opportunity for her. All she had was this night. She couldn't afford to mess up.

She had to kill Daren.
