The sun woke Kyungsoo up. He looked to his right and Minseok was there, sleeping with his dagger clutched in his hand. Kyungsoo rubbed his eyes and got up. He heard something. It sounded like someone was crying...sobbing. Kyungsoo made his way through the hallway and slowly tiptoed to Yixing's room.
Kyungsoo tried to open the locked door. He heard the crying stop as he tried to open the door. Then he heard some moving around in the room. "Yixing?" Kyungsoo listened. "Yixing. Are you okay???" There's no response. Kyungsoo turned the knob, breaking the lock and crashing into the room. Kyungsoo's eyes widen as he saw a very different Yixing. Yixing was shirtless and his veins were more visible than ever. Yixing sat at the end of his bed, with tears. "Oh my god......Yixing." Kyungsoo quickly closed the door shut and came to Yixing's side. The young man's eye color was a dark red. His body was covered in sweat. He seemed like an animal.
Yixing was shaking slightly as his breathing slowed. "Kyungsoo. Don't come near me." Kyungsoo was terrified for his friend. "Yixing....you turned. What does this mean? You said you healed it." "Nothing can heal this. I can't.....I can't control myself." Kyungsoo carefully touched Yixing's hand. "You have to leave. You'll be killed if you don't." Kyungsoo stared into Yixing's wolf eyes.
"I can''t. I'm not myself. There's someone controlling me," Yixing responded. He felt so hopeless. Truth is, an alpha has made him his mate. This "alpha" was the one controlling him. Yixing wasn't just turned, he was now someone's mate."Yixing, we have to get you out of here," Kyungsoo stands up. "He won't let me leave." "Who?" "My mate." Yixing closed his eyes shut. "I don't know but it's like he's possessing me. Everything he says, I do it even if I don't want to. I have no control of my body. My body only listens to him. Kyungsoo.....please kill me." "What? No!" "It's the only way we can protect the kingdom." "What are you talking about?" "Yifan. He wants to take over the kingdom. Last night, something happened. I don't even remember but I think I was outside the gate, outside of the kingdom. I'm afraid of what he'll make me do next." Yixing sounded desperate. "What if he makes me kill the king?" Yixing cried. "Yifan? Is he your mate?" Kyungsoo asked. Yixing nodded. "How exactly did you become his mate? How do you know?" Kyungsoo asked. Yixing just covered his face and Kyungsoo came and sat next to him. Kyungsoo put his arm around his friend, comforting him. "Yixing.....I'm so sorry."
Kyungsoo didn't know how to help Yixing. He didn't want to kill his friend. If this alpha named Yifan wanted to take over the kingdom, then they needed to tighten the security. "We'll have to tell the king." "No." "What are we going to do then? I'm not going to kill you, okay?!" Kyungsoo tried to keep his voice down. Yixing was thinking deeply into his own thoughts. Kyungsoo watched as Yixing's body relaxed. "Just don't tell anyone, okay? I have a plan." "What's your plan?" Yixing ignored Kyungsoo's question. Someone came knocking on the door. It was Baekhyun. "Yixing! I was looking all over for you last night," Baekhyun poked his head inside.
Kyungsoo and Yixing looked at each other before Kyungsoo left the room. He went back to the room and found that Minseok wasn't there. Kyungsoo made his way to the town. He went into a restaurant ordering two bottles of wine. He wondered what Yixing was planning. He needed to find a way to protect the kingdom without telling the others. But he needed to tell the others. How was Yixing and him going to prevent this alpha from taking the kingdom? If Yixing is Yifan's mate then doesn't that mean that Yixing will eventually leave with him. Yixing's turned and he has no choice. He'll either be killed or be thrown out of the kingdom. Kyungsoo downed his wine and thought hard. Someone came and sat in front of Kyungsoo, taking a bottle of wine and pouring himself a cup. Kyungsoo looks up to see his uninvited guest.
A tall man; handsome features and a patched eye. "Who are you?" Kyungsoo asked politely. The man grinned. "You're from the Allegiance?" he asked. Kyungsoo took his left arm, that revealed his tattoo, off the table. "Yes. I am," he answers. Kyungsoo has never seen such a man but then again the kingdom was huge place. Kyungsoo eyed the man. "You didn't answer me. Who are you?" "Me? Do you want to know that much?" Kyungsoo saw an evil glint in the man's one eye. "What is your name?" the man asks. "Why should I tell you?" "You're Do Kyungsoo.....am I right?"
