"I didn't do it!"

We were walking towards the convenient market about 2 blocks from my house. We actually had money, not a mission. "Whatcha want? I'll pay.", Shayne offered. "Shayne? Paying? Ha, good one.", I joked. We kept fooling around as the clerk gave us dirty looks. We weren't causing trouble, we were just being teens. It felt good...not being a victim for once. Our names are always on the newspaper...sadly not the "HERO" ones. More like "TROUBLED TEENS BACK AT IT AGAIN". We bought 2 energy drinks and sun flower seeds. Man, we loved that stuff. As we were walking out, a group of men hopped off of their motorcycles and ran into the store, full speed. We didn't know why. Next thing I know, I hear a gunshot. Shayne grabbed my hand and started running, we bolted, trying so hard to get away. "HOLD IT", we hear from a distance. We immediately got on our knees and put our hands up. They threatened to kill us if we ran. The man walked past me, I could smell the scent of nicotine ghosting around his clothing. He put the gun in Shayne's hand and told him to stay there while we had another gun pointed at us. They ran. We heard sirens coming our way, we knew what was coming. The Seymour Police Department crowded around us and told us to put our hands in the air. Shayne started screaming, "WE DID NOT DO IT! THEIR FRAMING US! THEIR FRAMING US!". They lured us into the car and next thing we know, were behind bars. "We checked the security footage, nothing. Nothing was there.", the officer stated. "We can't let you guys out until more evidence is proven. For right now, young man, your getting charged with man slaughter."
Man slaughter? Man slaughter. Shayne, the most warm hearted, fulfilled boy is charged with man slaughter. Shayne didn't lay a finger or point a gun at anyone. He was framed.
"You 2 will be visiting court tomorrow afternoon. You sir, will be either considered guilty or not. And you, might be released earlier for being a witness since your fingerprints were not traced anywhere on anything.", the officer said.
Court. We have court tomorrow and I'm not even worried about myself. Shayne is the one I'm most worried about. He doesn't deserve this, he didn't do anything.
