He looked at me with a serious expression on his face. It's rare to see him so serious so maybe that means that this is an important and touchy subject we are about to talk about.

"Why...why are you two not together anymore?" I asked out of curiosity.

"Why should I tell you that?" he said with a bored look on his face.

I take back my words about it being serious. He'll just wave it off.

"Because I'm your best friend and I care about you"

Ta..there's that hurting feeling again. I DON'T LIKE FEELING FEELINGS LIKE THESE.

"Hmph...I don't want to" he said while looking out the window "Anyway, the promise you made about the Mai-chan magazine"

"Eh? Did I make such a promise?" I said innocently. His eye twitched as he held my chin.

"Oi...Don't tell me you forgot"

"But I didn't even make that promise~"

I pouted playfully and he furrowed his eyebrows. His expression was so priceless. It's called the very rare expression of Daiki thinking.

Why was he thinking though? Maybe he's thinking of a way to make me remember the promise.

I fished my phone out of my pocket and quickly took a picture of him.

"I have to send this to Momoi-chan"

I said while looking at the picture happily. I showed it to him and he released my chin.

"Tch....you're really annoying right now"

He glared at me and I stuck my tongue out at him "I only took a picture, so stingy~"

He held my chin again and leaned in closer "I'll kiss you if you don't shut up"

I tilted my head to the side and looked at him "I don't care, best friends share kisses anyway"

"You're so stupid" he exclaimed while leaning even closer to my face.

"You too" I said with a smirk. He sighed then backed away.

"Ah..I hate you" he ruffled his hair in annoyance and I just chuckled.

"Thanks"

"That wasn't a compliment"

He stood up as soon as he finished his fries and exited the place. I sighed then looked at the direction he was going to.

....I knew it.

He's going to another street court near here.

Seriously, that guy....

He already played basketball earlier.

Maybe he didn't want to see Terumi-chan earlier so we left early...

I just shrugged and continued eating. I'm going to follow him later.

After I finished everything I ordered, I stood up and carried our stuff. I ran outside and to the street court he went to.
