A New Year

A new year,

A new leaf

ready to be overturned.

That's what they say;

The ones who conform

To society, to propriety,

The ones always forlorn

About the way things turn out.

Disapointment, disbelief

All tangled in grief

All waiting for a time of change,

One that may never come

Because of all the deranged

Thoughts of frustraion

Though No acts do occur,

Because it's just thought easier

To give into neverending leisure.

Those who stand up

And try for a change

Are given a chance

To explore the range

Of neverending possiblities

Up for grabs

And right for the taking

Will soon stride in confidence

And never look back

On the mistakes they were making

In a mindfield of confusion

With no guidence awarded.

After all...

Respect was shorted.

A new year does not guarentee

A worriless world where you will be free.

But if you can reach and earn

A finer place in life,

Then you have succeeded in diminishing

A world major strife.

This new year is full of beginings.

Seize them,

Take them by the throat

And if you start to choke

Just swallow

And smile through your pride,

Because deep down

you are one strong guy.
