"I'm going to miss you so much Josh." I cried into my boyfriends shoulder.

"Shhh. It's going to be okay. I know we can do the long distance thing, okay? I'll see you again in four months." Josh soothed me.

"Okay?" I quoted TFIOS (the fault in our stars, it's a book).

"Okay." Josh replied with a sly smile.

"Dude, stop flirting with me." I giggled.

"Jamie, you are such a wonder." He shook his head in amusement and I walked off to board my plane to London.

I currently; well not used to live in Texas, but now I'm being forced to go live near my father. He lives in England. London to be exact. I honestly don't know why I'm being forced to live out there, I'm twenty, turning twenty one in a few weeks and can legally live on my own.

I have light brown hair; I dyed it brown when I was fourteen and it never went back to it's natural colour. Strange, is't it? I have green eyes and freckled cheeks. I'm about five foot nine. I know, insanely tall for a girl. I'm not that fit to be honest, but I don't hate my body. As my mom used to call it, I have a 'kangaroo pouch' as a stomach. Not too big, not too skinny. Just perfect. In my opinion anyways.

Josh was my three year boyfriend, and will be moving out to London in about four months when he finishes his semester. I know you're probably wondering, why aren't I in uni? I make a living off my paintings or drawings. To say the least, I'm an artist.

I guess the only downside to moving to London is having to share an apartment with a fucking stranger for four months. But, once Josh moves, we'll find our own place.

I got on the plane and pulled out my sketch book. I flipped to the next blank page and started sketching what I imagine the city of London to look like.

"Woah, you're an amazing drawer." A British male complimented me from my left.

"Thanks." I muttered, not looking up from my artwork.

"I'm Zayn, and you?" He said nicely as the fasten your seat belts sign went on.

"Jamie." I mumbled as I finished off Big Ben.

"Is that Big Ben?" Zayn asked.

"Sorta." I shrugged and put my book away when the plane started moving.

"You're an amazing drawer." He complimented.

"Thanks." I replied with a fake smile and closed my eyes for the ride.

When I got off the plane, I followed the crowd to the luggage area in search for my bags.

"Where the fuck is my bag?" I asked myself. I found the other two, but the last one was missing or something.

"You okay?" I somewhat familiar voice said from beside me. I turned and saw that guy that st next to me on the plane... Zack?

"Yeah, I can't find my bag." I said quietly. I looked up at his face and he looked so familiar I swear we could've been friends. I dodn't look at him that closely on the plane ride, He slept most of the time facing away from me and I was drawing.

"What does it look like?" He asked and peered around.

"Blue and black. I know this may sound insane, but we met before the plane ride, right?" I asked with a laugh.

"Uhh, no. Can't say we have." Zack shook his head then leaned down to whisper in my ear "I'm Zayn from One Direction. Shhh." Zayn gave me a weak smile and I probably looked like I just got slapped.

"Woah..." I mumbled and continued to look for my bag. "There it is!" I walked over to my bag that was stuck on the conveyor belt and picked it up. I swung it over my shoulder and picked up the other two bags in my hands. I honestly don't know why, but this Zayn guy walked out of the airport with me. We didn't talk, just walked next to each other.

"Do you need a ride anywhere, or...?" Zayn asked awkwardly as we stepped outside.

"Uh, yeah that'd be-" I was cut off by my phone ringing. "Sorry, I have to take this." I gave him a sympathetic smile and walked a few steps away for privacy.

"Hey, babe!" Josh gushed into the phone.

"Hey." I sighed and shifted my weight from one leg to another.

"You okay?" Josh asked, concerned.

"Yeah, I just landed. Can I call you back when I get to my place?" I asked and turned around to see Zayn also talking on his phone.

"Oh, sorry. I got the times wrong. Yeah, that's fine. Love you!" And with that, he hung up. Strange. I put my phone away and  walked back over to Zayn.

"... Need to take her to wherever she's going.... Okay, bye." He huffed into the phone.

"It's really not that big of a deal, I can just call a cab." I suggested.

"No, it's okay. I don't know who, but someone is coming to pick us up soon." Zayn smiled.

"Oh, here. I thought you'd like it, since you said it was good. Don't feel obligated to keep it, though." I handed him the drawing of London I drew on the plane.

"Are you sure? How much is it?" He asked and grabbed his wallet.

"No charge. I don't charge friends." I smiled up at him as a van pulled up to us.

"Get in, loser, we're going shopping." A deep male voice said from the driver's seat.

"Harry!" Zayn said and ran over to hug him. Two others got out of the van and hugged Zayn, then all eyes on me. Terrific.

"Hello, I'm Harry, this is Liam and that's Louis." Harry introduced them.

"Jamie, pleasure to meet you." I smiled and looked over towards Zayn who was looking at my drawing with Louis.

"Who drew it, Zayn?" Liam asked as he walked over to him.

"Jamie did. She gave it to me." Zayn said happily. Well at least he likes it.

"You're amazing!" Louis complimented. We all got into the van and I gave Harry directions to my new apartment.

"Do you need help carrying your bags up?" Zayn asked as we pulled up in font of the doors.

"No, I think I'll be fine. Thanks for the ride, it was nice meeting you." I smiled and started climbing out of the van with a wave.

"Wait! here's my number. Text or call if you want. Bye!" Zayn said as he handed me a napkin with a phone number scratched on it. I said good bye and made my way up to the top floor; where I'm sharing my apartment with a stranger. I hope it's a girl.
