seungkwans pov:

i say goodbye to my mom once more, close the door and start making my way over to the basketball court. as i'm walking, mindlessly dribbling the ball, i notice a boy sitting down just at the side of the basketball court once i get closer. i hesitate for a while, thinking if i should back out or not, but decide to shrug it off for now and just play basketball anyways. i make my way over to the field, focused on playing basketball, not wanting to pay attention to the boy sitting near the field. after a while i start to notice that the boy's presence is distracting me, as i keep looking over to where he's sitting. i sigh, telling myself to focus and i start throwing the ball again. this goes on for a while until i'm tired, so i decide to take a small break. i hesitate, thinking if it would be weird if i walk over to the boy and sit near him. i decide it would be better to just pretend he's not there, and i make my way to the other side of the field, sitting down. i take a sip of my water, closing my eyes, only now realising how tired i got from playing. i sit like this for about fifteen minutes, before getting up again, starting to play basketball again. i throw the ball around for a while, enjoying the time i got to spend here. i shoot the ball towards the basket, hoping it will go in. i watch as it bounces off to the side. my gaze follows the ball, noticing it rolled up to the boy's feet. i sigh to myself as i start making my way to where the ball ended up. when i get there, i reach out for the ball, but the boy picked it up before me. he hands it to me, smiling. "thank you! i'm seungkwan!" i say and smile back. "you're welcome. i'm hansol by the way." he says with a chuckle and holds his hand out for me to shake. i quickly grab it, shaking his hand. "well nice to meet you, hansol. i have never seen you around here before, are you new here?" i couldn't help but ask. "yeah i moved here about 3 weeks ago" i smile, nodding. i'm still wondering why i haven't seen him in those 3 weeks, but i won't bother asking. "well how do you like it here this far?" i smile at him, hoping i'm not making him uncomfortable. "i haven't really been able to see much yet, but i think it's okay" he shrugs. "i hope you'll have a fun time here, hansol" i smile at him. we talk for about another half hour, getting to know each other more. i look at my phone, checking the time. noticing it has been pretty long since i last moved, i start to get up again. "now, if you don't mind, i'm gonna continue playing for a bit, see you later!" i say, smiling, and wave at him, walking back onto the field. he says something, but i couldn't make out the words, so i just let it go and continue playing. i keep shooting the ball, secretly taking a few glances over to the side, to see if hansol was still there. this goes on for a while until i finally decide if bored. i walk over to hansol, looking at what he's doing. "that's really good! i didn't know you liked drawing" i say, pointing at the drawing in his sketchbook he's currently working on. he jumps slightly, probably not expecting me to be there so suddenly. i hold back a chuckle as i sit beside him. "yeah, i love drawing! thanks by the way" he smiles and hides his face in his hands. "maybe you can teach me one day! i wish i was good at drawing" i say and pout slightly. "really? i'd love to!" he says, smiling bigger than before. i nod, smiling back at him. i decide to sit there in silence, enjoying the slight breeze. he starts to draw again, probably to avoid any awkward silences. i smile to myself as i watch him draw silently.

so they finally know of each other's existence! i'm honestly disappointed in myself, since i really hoped this chapter would be longer, but i guess we can't always have what we want... well whatever, i hope you all have a good day!
