Dark, gloomy and lonely it was
Shivers travelled through me
The lights flickered off and on
But that's all my eyes could see
There was a shattered window on a wall
I thought I would wander inside
The classes cracked beneath my feet
As I set my belonging aside
The chilling breeze hit my spine
My attention turned to the door
As it slowly creeked open
My feet stumbled stiffly on the floor
There was a noise that truly startled me
I struggled to walk in a line
My breath travelled through the cold air
But then I realised it wasn't mine
