It was Sunday, 7:00 AM, Philippine time when someone knocked on my door. Who the hell will knock at 7:00 AM in Sunday? I was lazy but I had no choice but to open the door. It was dad, bringing a paper bag. I grab the paper bag from his hand and it was my favourite breakfast, TAPSILOG- this is one of the most divine food here in the Philippines, it is a combination of marinated beef, egg, and fried rice.

“Dad! What brought you here this early?” He just smiled then gave me a small box. Oh, goodness! It’s my dream watch!

“Never say you wasted your time on doing something, you just need to realize that the time goes clockwise, it goes on and on.”

“Dad, you’re deep!” I didn’t notice that Isco, my brother, entered my place as well.

“Hey, sissy! So, how’s the wedding of the century? Did it hurt? Your mom’s a bitch plus you’re an angel, perfect combination.” He didn’t attend the wedding because he has his medical seminar-he’s a doctor.

“ Shut-up! You weren’t even there supporting my emotional feelings.”

“Hey, if I was there, I will support my other sister’s wedding. You! selfish!” He laughed at me then I realized he was right.

“Shut up and eat!” He just smiled then looked at me then brought out a beautiful running shoes from England.

“Oh, shit! Limited Edition? I love you Francisco!” He just laughed and gave me my brand new rubber shoes. What have I done to be this blessed this early in the morning? This day must be special.

We all ate and after that, we talked a bit, about the wedding, my mom’s attitude, my ex boyfriend who happened to be my sister’s husband. But, we got no time to waste; So, I asked them to leave for me to work on articles for the next issue of our magazines. I know it sounds rude but I got tons of things to do, some articles were submitted thru e-mails. This is how work works on Sundays.
