I just ended the phone conversation with Harmony. It was the most fun I had on the phone in a long time. I felt like we were kids again. She has the goofiest personality and she is just an amazing person to be around overall. I did a little flirting here and there and I kind of feel like a dick for doing it. I don't want to string her along knowing I like someone already. It's a girl named Ashley in my gym class. She happens to have the same chorus class as Harmony and I am afraid to make things awkward. I like Harmony too, but we've been friends since elementary school and I just don't want to ruin our friendship. I'm such a dumbass. I am stuck between two girls. One doesn't know I exist and the other loves everything about me. I really adore Ashley though. She has the prettiest blue eyes I have ever seen. She's charming and smart and an excellent soccer player. I know she has plenty of guys coming after her. I hope that I can find the courage to talk to her.
After I ended the conversation I decided to go straight to bed. Tomorrow is Friday and I get to see both of those girls again. I'm really excited to see Harmony. She told me what her ex plans to do and it makes me sick to my stomach. What kind of man does he think he is? I hope it's all a bluff to make her paranoid. After everything she tells me, I think him doing that will cause her to reach her breaking point. Since her older brothers graduated, she has no one to really protect her from the pretentious bullshit called high school. I wish I could do more for her. She is such an amazing person. I know one day everyone will see what I see when I look at her.
I think I might like her more than I thought.
Ashley Who?
Maybe...
The next morning I woke up to a text from Harmony. She was telling me good morning and she can't wait to see me. How sweet. She's such a good girl. Last night she told me she was going to be stepping outside of her comfort zone. I wonder what she means by that. I got up to brush my teeth when my brother Greg pushed me into my room and slammed the bathroom door. He's such a bitch! I decided to brush my teeth in the kitchen sink and get dressed. I hopped in my car and I headed to school. I stopped by my favorite bagel shop to grab my breakfast. As I was pulling out of the drive-thru I saw Harmony cruising down the street. Driving with her knees and drinking what I assume is iced coffee. She's a hot mess.
When I finally arrived at school, it was pretty early and no one had a arrived just yet. I saw Harmony sitting in her car on the phone. She looked angry. I wanted to go check on her, but I decided to mind my own business and head into the building. By the time I got to my locker, the hallways started to fill with students and teachers. I put my belongings up and decided to head to the cafeteria to grab a quick bite. I could hear the first bell ring, and that was my cue to go. I sprinted to my 1st block and made it before the second bell rung.
" Good morning students, I am Chet Tomson and I am here with your announcement. I have a guest here with me. Mr. Adin Greene. Thank you for joining us this morning."
"The pleasure is all mine."
Adin? Isn't that Harmony's psychotic ex? Oh no, he better not do what I think he's about to do.
"What is it that you want to show us this morning?" Chet asked him and I started to become extremely nervous.
"I want to let the student body know how much of a cum-hungry slut Harmony Menendez is, roll the audio clip please."
Loud and heated moans filled the classroom. It was disturbing and some guys were actually getting turned on by it. Groups of girls burst into uncontrollable fits of laughter, while others cringe from embarrassment. "Harmony." I whisper as I bang my head on the desk repeatedly. It wasn't until the principal came onto the intercom apologizing to the students. The classroom became quiet. My heart is pounding out of my chest right now. Poor Harmony. I won't see her until my next class, that's even if I see her.
I didn't pay any attention to the lesson. I was zoned out completely. I kept sneaking my phone out to text Harmony, but I haven't gotten a reply back yet. I'm so worried. By the time class ended. Students filled the halls and it seemed like everyone was looking for someone. Next thing I know a roar of laughter filled the hallway. I saw Harmony trying to fight her way through the idiotic crowd. Diana was pushing people away to create a pathway for them. I jumped in and grabbed both of their hands to lead them out of the building. When we got out of the building Harmony broke down in Diana's arms screaming and crying and I tried to comfort her by rubbing her back.
"That son of a bitch is going to pay, on my mom. I'm gonna beat that fuck out of him." Diana said while trying to console Harmony.
"I will gladly help." I said picking her up. "Where are you going with her?" She says with a look of concern on her face. "I'm taking her to her car. " I say before walking away with Harmony sobbing into my arms. "Hey, beautiful where are your keys?" She pulled her keys out of her pockets and handed to me. Before Diana got back into the building I asked her could she bring all of Harmony's stuff.
"Harmony, honey please stop crying. It's going to be okay. That asshole will get everything he deserves and more I can promise you that."
"You didn't hear what people were saying to me. I am done with this fucking place. I'm dropping out." She says while jumping into her driver's seat. I jump out the car and allow her to drive off. She speeds out of the parking lot and out of sight.
