Chapter 3- So Quiet

I went to sit down in my new assigned seat and checked the board, I sit right behind Gina, great now I can continue our conversation maybe. . .(The teacher tells each teen one by one to tell their name, age, what they like, and a talent they have) Everyone takes their turn except me and Gina. (I'm next) "Um I'm Jeremy Fielder,  I'm 15 years old, I like making new friends, and a talent I have is making paper airplanes." (Everyone laughs, good!) Next! says the teacher looking at gina. I'm Gina Carmichael,  I'm 15 years old, I like gum-"Me too!" says a girl with blonde spiralled hair, wearing a brown headband, and in a light pink flowing dress with shrivels on the end not to mention a skinny brown belt tied around her waste as she claps her brown flats together, and chewing her bubble gum delightfully. Gina looks surprised at her then continues-and a talent I have is dying hair. Pssh what a lame-o! says a girl with Brown hair straightening down to her all white dress with lots of cleavage showing at the top, and lace on her short sleeves at the bottom. (I look at her in the eye...) "Hey, leave her alone ok?" Whatever! says the fast girl Sabrina. Ok students I think that's everyone so let's try to get some work done today! Then he goes over to Gina asking her to pass out the assignment, "Yes I'll do it! " she says quietly. She stands up and everyone is looking at her. Then row by row she gives each person a paper, and everyone is saying thank you then before she gets to Sabrina she stops dead center next to the person behind her, gives them a paper and walks over to me. "Could you give her this last sheet please?" I stop for a moment then smile and tell her, "Sure!" then walk over to Sabrina and give her a paper then walk back to my seat, and get back to my work. Gina just looks back at her from the side from a distance. Why is she so quiet now?! I don't know but I'll ask her next period . . .
