The dragon was a rich purple with a glowing blue in his chest. He really looked magnificent. Jacob didn't know how to feel. He pinched his arm very hard, he wasn't dreaming. The dragon looked sad at that moment.
"You think you're just dreaming, don't you?" He asked, trying to ignore his sadness, "You don't believe I'm real, just a faint moving image made from your imagination." Jacob didn't know what to do. "Of course I do" he answered quickly, "its just I've been believing in you for so long I was starting to believe you weren't real. I-I-I--" before he could finish the dragon gently laid his tail on his mouth to shush him, then after a few seconds he pulled it away, "I understand" he continued, still a bit sad, "I would've came sooner but we have to wait for our guardian to open our portal, but even if it was open, I cannot leave so I sent him to go get you." Jacob then asked "do you mean the big green creature?" The dragon nodded, "I don't mean to be nosy or anything like that, but what animal is he?" The dragon leaned his head closer to Jacob's, then gently answered, "little Jacob, he is not an animal or creature, he's a guardian of all dimensions. He's made of stardust and tiny moon shards. He really is magical isn't he? Anyway we have a lot to do. We've been waiting on you for at least 8 years." Jacob didn't understand "8 years?! I was here before?!" He cried. "Oh yes" said the dragon with a large smile, "but you were far too young to remember it. I shall explain it all later but first I must bring you to your true father. He is expecting you." "Wait, real father?! My father's back home! What's going on?!" Jacob started to panic. He was so confused by all this. "Like I said Jacob, I'll explain it all later" he grabbed Jacob around the waist with his enormous scaly tail and lifted him up onto his back. "Better hold on tight. It's gonna be quite a wild ride." Jacob didn't question this, even though he had a ton of questions he was dying to ask. He wrapped his arms around the dragon's large neck. The dragon unfolded his gigantic magnificent wings and bent down getting ready to take off. Jacob was terrified. "Is this safe?" He pondered. The dragon didn't answer. He was consenting so hard until . . WHOOSH!!! . . He took off into the sky. Jacob was too petrified on falling off he didn't want too speak. Then the dragon parted through the clouds and then stopped, flapping his wings at the clouds below as not to fall to the hard earth far below. "Are you ok young Jacob?" He asked, concerned after seeing Jacob's face as pale as soft sand. Jacob nodded hesitantly. "Don't worry young master, we shall be there in no time at all." He blasted quickly into the mist of the clouds ahead, but then it became clearer. A stone castle in the distance slowly came closer to them and soon enough they departed on the cobbled path leading to the entrance. Jacob jumped down into the dragon's large wing that then lowered onto the ground. He took one step onto the path, and then another. He marvelled at the castle. It was HUUUGE!!! Jacob couldn't believe he used to live here. He walked through the massive doorway, the dragon following behind. They stepped onto the red velvety carpet. "Your Highness," the dragon roared into the empty echoey room, "your son has arrived at last like you requested." His words bounced through the room like an infinite boomerang. Suddenly a number of loud thuds shook the castle until it stopped. He could see a giant silhouette of a dragon at the top of the uneven stairs. Then it stepped into the light. It was dark blue with dark green filled wings. He was wearing a large bent golden crown and a velvety cape. "Son!" He cried out.
