Mel's POV:

"small iced coffee with skim milk" I told the person at Dunkin Donuts. "$2.25 ma'am" the lady said. I handed her the money and she handed me my coffee. i spun on my heels to turn around and bumped into somebody,

"sorry I-" i started

"no no it's totally fine. You must be new to California I've never seen you around? by the way I'm Rydel" she cut me off saying

"Yes I am new to California, my name is Melody but you can call me Mel"

don't screw this up mel she could be a new friend i thought to myself I'm horribal at making friends

"Well Mel lets go sit down" Rydel stated

after talking to her i found out she is in a band named R5 and it consists of her, her 3 brothers and friend Ratliff

"so Rydel do you want to hang out sometime???"

"sure"

"when" i ask

"how about now we can head to my house and you can meet the band"

we walked to her house which was only a few blocks away. When i walk in i get greeted by a boy with blonde hair who said his name was Ross, a boy named Rocky with brown hair on the longer side, and finally a boy with the same colored hair as Rocky's but shorter who i think was Ratliff.

wait i thought Rydel had 3 brothers i remember as i greet each of the brothers that are here

"RIKKKEERRR!!! Come down here I brought home a friend" Rydel shouts upstairs to I'm guessing is her other brother Riker.

*12:30 pm*

Riker's POV

another friend doesn't she have enough i start to think but my thoughts are interrupted when i see Rydels new friend. She's...Beautiful with sandy blonde hair with sprinkles of teal all over. Her lips painted with bold red lipstick that helps her black eyeliner stand out. She would never like someone like me.

"um... hi my name is Melody Jones but you can call me Mel." i hear her tell everyone in the room. even her voice is pretty! Wait no Riker snap out of it she will never like you.

"oh look a rare sight...Riker is finally out of his room" Rydel says while sarcastically clapping and everyone giggles.

" ha-ha very funny" i say annoyed

"actually it is" Melody says with a smirk

"cocky much" I reply matching her smirk

"um... Mel you probably shouldn't act like that way to Riker" Ross warns which eventually gets agreed to by the rest of the gang

"after my parents died when i was 11 i raised myself on the streets of Jersey im not afriad of that badboy wanna be" Mel says chuckling. bad idea sweetheart.

"just watch you back Jones" i say smuggly and sprint upstairs

*2:30 pm*

Mel's POV

"hey do you mind if i sleepover my bed isn't set up yet?" i say to Rydel hoping she said yes

"oh sure our parents wont mind" she replys

yes maybe i do have a chance on making a new friend
