Chapter 1

It was Monday. It was 6:00 in the morning on a Monday. I groaned and slowly rolled out of bed. I dont wanna go back I thought to myself. I don't want to go back to the place where my teachers hate me and I literally only have two friends. I put on mascara, a white hoodie and shorts with some random bracelets I found lying around. I put on my black vans and swong my yellow backpack around my shoulder. Hugged my goodbye and my sister threw a bantam to me as we were on our way out the door. "Race ya to the car, Delia?" Even for a senior in high school she was still fun. "Beat ya Beverly!" I said as she was still out of breath. "yeah yeah dee, I let you win." I laughed as I climbed in the front seat. Delia was driving. We used to do that when mom would drive us. I miss her more and more everyday. As we pulled up to our high school my best friends Jordan and Vanessa ran to me screaming "woah,woah calm down what's your guy's problem?" After they calmed down they finally spoke but in short breaths "new......cute.....guy.....in....class..." Vanessa finally spoke. I started laughing really hard "really? all this over a boy?" I said "not just any boy a really cute boy who's named Matthew in all our classes!" Jordan said back. "Well still it's silly to act that way over a boy." they agreed then we all went to our first class, geometry, I saw this guy they were talking about he was in front of the class finding where to sit. He was cute but he looked like he had no interest in me so why should I care about him. "ahh yes" our teacher mrs.sullivan finally said "Delia, is anyone sitting next to you?" Oh no "um.. No mrs.sullivan" please don't him next to me "you will be siting next to Delia Grace" I cried a little on the inside. I don't want to sit next to this kid. He seemed kinda, i don't know, unfriendly or something. I moved my hind half way in the air so he knew where I was. he nodded his head and started talking to the guy next to me. wow nice to meet you too. As school was over Vanessa and Jordan picked me up in their dark green jeep they pulled up to the front of the school "Get in loser were going shopping!" Vanessa yelled and started laughing really hard. Mean girls was my favorite movie. As we drove downtown we started talking about that Matt kid even though their wasn't that much to talk about. "He's kinda weird" I said. Jordan looked at me confused "what do you mean weird?" she asked "well" I responded "he sits by me in every class and never said a word to me" I looked down "maybe he's just shy." Vanessa said. I laughed "yeah right he made 1000 new friends and I only have you guys." I said realizing shortly after that that was kind of rude. "oh come on you guys you know I love you! I would pick you guys over anyone!" then they both laughed "yeah yeah dee" Vanessa said as we pulled up to the mall.
