The girl from the woods has seen me, she's followed me home and cornered me... I was right, she was different. But not like me. She's a soul-sucking demon. She has me pressed against the wall, as her face transforms from a beautiful girl to a contorted figure, her eyes gone black, her cheeks sunken into her face. She leans in towards me, sucking in my soul.
My brown eyes open fast as I wake up from that horrible dream.. This isn't normal, I create dreams, not recieve them. I run my hand through my messy blonde hair and slump back down against the pillow. That was just horrible. What if she is like that, though? What if that dream was my own insticts acting against me? I'm clearly too tired to think. I shut my eyes and drift back to a normal, dreamless sleep.
When I wake in the morning, Joseph is the only one up. "Morning." He says to me, putting down his coffee mug. "Where's the others?" I ask. "It's a Saturday, Seth... they're asleep." He said, picking it up and taking a sip. "Oh... I'm heading out, gonna go and get the firewood I forgot from yesterday." I told him, I picked up my dark green sweater and took off. I walked through the thick forest, collecting small logs as I went through, until I saw her again. She was staring up at bird in a tree. I stepped slowly behind a tree, watching her, my sweater hiding me well. I examined what she looked like, and she's beautifully strange. Her hair is dyed purple, and pulled back into a long ponytail with her bangs hanging out at the side of her face. She was wearing black converse shoes, with black skinny jeans and a blue checkered shirt. I couldn't see her face. She turned slowly towards where I was standing. She took a step forward and then someone yelled for her to come back. She turned around and ran towards the voice yelling "Coming mom." Her voice is angelic. I ran back home, wanting to tell Joseph when I froze. If I could hear her mother's voice, then her house wasn't too far away. Looks like we weren't as far in as we thought.
