Exhausted Alex crashed onto the bed, memerizing everything she had been through today. It was a rough one though, full of work. Buisness was booming, which made Alex very proud, but such success costs. It costs time, it costs energy, it also costs being away from the people she loves. Alex had never been good with handling emotions right, she's always ended up swalling them in, losing ahold of them. Feelings rarely seemed important to her, you can't survive in the real world being vulnerable, she figured.

But things were now different for Alex. She's got people to take care of, to look out for. It seemed like she couldn't escape emotions anymore, her girls needed them, they needed her to open her heart for them, not blocking their way in any longer.

"Hello?" The raspy voice called from the other line.

"Hi mom, how are you?" Alex had remained positive, as things were getting better for her mom. After long months of suffering so much, fighting a violent disease, she's finally made progress and seem to be healing. Alex could not be happier.

"I'm fine baby." Her mom answered, excited that her daughter had contacted her, she only wishes to spend the rest of her life with her, but is aware her baby girl should live the life she chooses, being wherever she wants, doing whatever she sees good for her.

"Have you taken your medications?" Asked concerned Alex.

Diane giggled. "Yes, yes I have. Thank you. Don't worry so much. So how have you been, where are you?"

"I left the states for buisness, currently in spain."

"Are you alone?" That made Alex's heart ache, as she remebered, yes, she was alone at the moment.

"Yes." Alex sadly responded.

"Well why didn't you take Piper with you?" Alex paused for a moment. She was mostly suprised that her mom would mention Piper. 'Do I really talk so much about her?' she thought.

"I almost offered, but then felt like I shouldn't, you know? She has a life and a job. She can't just come. She has to give a notice."

"She's a fucking waitress! She doesn't need to give a notice!" Diane joked, chuckling at her own statement. Then continued. "How things have been working out for you two, anyway?"

"Never better, actually. I miss her."

"So what are you doing here talking to me? Go fucking call her moron! This isn't how moma taught you to treat your girl."

Alex smirked joyfully, she loved how fun and cool her mom is. "I don't know. She's probably asleep by now anyways, what time is it in America?"

"Time to call your hot girlfriend, and ask her to come over for a dinner already!" Diane yelled at her daughter.

"Okay, I will." Alex returned being gentle, despite her mom's reaction.

"I love you baby. Take care. Bye."

"I love you too mom."

As the line went dead, Alex's brain wouldn't stop racing. 'Should I really call Piper right now? Isn't it too late? What if she's mad at me for leaving her for work? Why didn't I ask her to come with me in the first place?' It might be a bad idea. She will try tomorrow morning.

But morning was so far away, she missed Piper so mcuh.

On the other hand, Piper hadn't tried to call her all day long, perhaps she didn't wanna talk.

Huhh. Shut up!
Alex mentally hit herself .
'Just grab the fucking phone.'

Alex entered her phone, going to messages. 'maybe texting would be easier..'

To: Pipes❤
'I miss you..."

She closed her eyes and hit send.

Seconds later her phone vibrated.

From: Pipes❤
'Al, how have you been? I was waiting to hear from you all day long. I miss you so much. When are you coming back to me?'

Alex couldn't help the huge smile that was growing on her face.

To: Pipes❤
'I need to finish up somethings here. I don't know. It might take weeks.'

From: Pipes❤
'Look at you being this important boss. But, damn, as hot as it can be, I don't want you to be the big boss, I want you here.'

Alex was in pain the moment she read the latest text.

From: Pipes❤
'I want you to hold me, babe.'

Alex didn't get a chance to respond becaue she immediately received another text.

From: Pipes❤
'I'm sorry, I bet you don't want to hear me whining like this. Im sorry.'

There's another one.

From: Pipes❤
'I just miss you so much. It's been only few days and I feel so fucking lonely. Baby. I need you.'

Piper could not reflect Alex's situation more precisely. She also admitted it's just not right when Piper is gone. She loved this womam to death, there's no running from it, and hated herself to death for leaving her like that. She should have convinced Piper to come with her, this is unbearable. Alex hovered her thumb over the keyboard, having a tough time to decide rather she wanted to write down these following words or not.

Fuck it.

For Piper, she will be putting herself out there.

To: Pipes❤
'I've been feeling so very lonely too, Pipes. I wanted to ask you to join me before but chickened out, now I regret it. I'm such a fuck up.'

From: Pipes❤
'Don't blame yourself. I mean, of course I would come if you asked, but it doesn't matter anymore. Just, make it quick and come here soon.'

To: Pipes❤
'Damn I'm actually considering bailing on everyone here just to come home for you.'

Alex meant it. She did consider it. But obviously was never going to, she can't leave Kubra in the air, you don't do that.

From: Pipes❤
'Haha, even I wouldn't do that..'

To: Pipes❤
'Shut up.'

From: Pipes❤
'I love you too, Al.'

Alex was forming a huge grin on her face.

To: Pipes❤
'I would do anything to get out of here as soon as possible, I promise. Love you baby. See you so very soon.'

Alex locked her screen, now gazing at the celling. She could die right there from missing Piper. There's so much to do before she could go back to the states, and to Piper's arms. What will she do?

Alex sat down. She caught her head between her hands, controlling herself, as potimistic thoguhts ran through her mind. As long as she's got Piper waiting for her to come home, there is always hope.

Suddenly, she held her phone once again and quickly snapped another text to Piper.

To: Pipes❤
'Hey, btw when I come back, how does a dinner with my mom sound like?'
