Death was all around her, people falling over dead from bullet wounds, and stab wounds. The Great War was almost over, with not many more people to fight, the Vampires would win. She stood from a top her tower, watching those who wanted to stay free, fighting for their life. Even when they realized that there was no hope, no matter what weapon you have, or tactic you use there was no way these humans would beat the Vampires. They underestimated the Vampires, they fell for the silly old “A stake to the heart will kill the Vampire,” some even fell for the “Garlic repels them!” A lot of people died by their own foolishness this way, once the Vampires sniffed these people out, there wasn’t much of a fight. The humans usually put their back against something, like a tree or a wall. Some screamed prayers at the top of their lungs, “GOD PLEASE HELP US,” others screamed for forgiveness, and even some tried to fight back. Those who fought back didn’t last long, they couldn’t amount to the powers of the Vampires.
She remembered one women who tried to fight back, she was rather tall and thin, sick looking too. She had long gray hair that flowed down her thin and weak body to her hips. Her eyes were sunk in, and her iris’s almost gray. Her lips were chapped and cracking, and in attempt to speak she cried out, “I’ve been scared of everything my whole life, but I have never been afraid of death.” She sluggishly lifted her right arm out from behind her back, revealing a wooden baseball bat. She began to swing it at her, Saige just laughed and swatted the bat out of the girl’s hand. The bat rattled and rolled across the dirty white tile floor. Saige reached out and took a hold of the girl’s lower jaw, her fingers curled up around her face, she pulled her closer. Saige looked at the girl and smiled, “You’re scared.” She paused for a moment, as a sheet of remorse covered her eyes, “You don’t need to be scared I won’t hurt you.” She held back a smirk, in the back of her head she had already killed this girl. “What’s your name, love?” Saige’s soothing voice had giving the girl hope, the girl actually thought she was going to get away with her actions. “Clarissa..” Her voice was soft and muffled, she had so much hope in her eyes, and Saige was ready to take that all away.
“Well, Clarissa.” Saige abruptly pulled her closer, and whispered in her ear, “you can never trust a lair.” Saige could feel her fangs lengthen, and Clarissa began to squirm, “NO YOU CAN’T!” She panicked, trashing around trying to escape. Saige just laughed, “You can’t get away from me,” her words began to have a hush tone to them, “I’m a Vampire.” Saige’s bright emerald green eyes shimmered in the light, a bloodlust smile over took her face, and her fangs peaked out from her deep red lips. She gripped onto Clarissa’s face even tighter and pulled her neck right to her lips. She brushed Clarissa’s long gray hair out of the way, pushing it all behind her shoulder, so none of it would get in the way. Saige flipped her tongue out on Clarissa’s pale neck, tracing the jugular vein that contained the sweet nectar pouch that Saige desperately craved. Clarissa was shaking all over, she could feel the warm breathe and the wet tongue on her neck, she just wanted it to be over. One last smirk over took Saige’s face, she leaned back up to Clarissa’s ear and whispered, “When you get to Heaven, be sure to write.” Saige moved back down to Clarissa’s neck and bit down, Clarissa started to wiggle, and struggle away, but gave up quickly.
The sweet copper flavored treat flowed into Saige’s mouth, warm and energizing to the drop. A small smile peaked on Saige’s lips, she felt so at home. This was what she was supposed to do, she was a Vampire Princess, and soon to be Queen. She knew this was what she was bound to be. Saige sucked up every last drop of Clarissa’s blood. She pulled her face back from the cold and lifeless corpse, and licked her lips. She reached up and wiped the deep red blood that trailed out of the corner of her lips.
Saige felt proud of herself, she had taken over the world. Rome, Italy, Moscow, Miami, all of the world, was hers. She stood proud, her dark red curls rolled down her back and shoulders down to stomach, flowing slightly in the wind, her emerald green eyes shimmered in the moon light as she watched the life’s of others fade into eternal darkness. “SAIGE!” Saige looked around with an irritated glare on her face. “You have a meeting in an hour.” Saige closed her eyes and shook her head slightly. She let out a big yawn and stretched her arms straight out. Saige opened her eyes and looked around, startled. There was so blood, there was no carnage, and there was no tower. She was home, in her South Hampton Beach bedroom.
