Chapter 3

Cameron runs all the way to the end of the hall where we are all staying. When he stops. He shouts, "JACK CATCH!" He turns me around into where his arms cradle me under my knees and at my shoulders. And he tosses me to Jack Gilinsky and Jack catches me.

"Hey I caught a Cali." He says and smiles. I laugh. He gently puts me down and gives me a hug.

From the room behind him I hear laughter and stupidity. "What is going on?!" I say as I push the door open. I see Nash on the floor laughing. Taylor in the chair dying. And Matt almost crying of laughter. "Oh God. What did I miss?"

Nash looks up from his position on the floor, eyes red and a big grin. "Oh my God Cali.. You missed Taylor and Matt..." He laughs between breaths. I just stand in the door way thoroughly confused. I smile. I miss these stupid guys.

Matt still giggles on the bed. "MATT!" I say. He whips his head around "Scoot over!" He squeals. I jump onto the bed and he rolls to the edge of the bed I land on the other edge then sit up. "What should we do tonight?" I say facing all the guys, Taylor still sitting, Matt next to me, Cam and the Jacks stand by the tv and door, and Nash lays on the floor. They all kinda just look at each other confused and uncertain.

"THIS!" Yells Taylor and sprints out his chair and drives by Nash with a slap cross the face. All the guys shout and holler. I fall back laughing. A feud starts. Everyone rushes to the bathroom to get shaving cream and soap. I sit in a ball holding on to a pillow hoping not to get hit. Nash hits Cameron hard and shaving cream sprays on me.

"NASH!!" I turn my head away from the shaving cream. I hear Cam call my name from next to me. I slowly turn my head. He smashes a handful of shaving cream in my face. "Dammit Cameron." I say. I wipe the shaving cream off into my hand. I jump off the bed. I chase after him.

He runs out the door and tries to close the door behind him I slide past before he could. I push the shaving cream into his face. He and I laugh. I try to run back into the room before he can catch me. But he grabs my waist. I squeal. He picks me up and spins me around, my legs thrashing.

"Well aren't you guys cute."

We both turn. Deborah stands a few feet away, Carter's arm drapes around her shoulders. I move out of Cameron's grasp. "We're gonna go down to the pool or something, tell Bart if he asks, see you guys later." Carter says. Deborah looks at me then at Cameron and turns. Carter follows.

Cameron looks at me, "What was that about?" I stare at her as she walks off, I shake my head. I walk towards the room of laughter and screaming. Cameron tails close behind me.

I wipe the shaving cream off my face with a damp towel. I walk out of the bathroom and sit on the bed. Nash tries to get everyone's attention. "Guys! Guys!!" Most of us look. "Does anyone want to go buy things for a video?" Cameron, Matt and I agree to go.

Matt and Nash go downstairs to find Bart and get the keys to the car. Cameron and I go to my room to get my bag. I open the door and Deborah has her bags on the floor. I gently walk around her stuff to get my bag. Cameron sits on the bed. "So what was that in the hall?" I look at him confused. "With Deborah and Carter." I just look down.

I shrug my shoulders, "I don't know. She doesn't like me I guess."

"Why?"

I grab my bag and check to see if I have everything. "I don't know." I look at the bottom of my bag. I find a pack of cigarettes. I check it, empty. I put it back quickly. I look at Cameron to check if he saw me. His eyes glare at me. I smile. And hop over all the junk that lays on the floor.

"Cali," he says sternly, "what was that?" I dont look at him.

"What was what?" He grabs my face in his hands, I dont look at him.

"Cali look at me, what was that in your bag?" I pull my head away.

"Come on Nash and Matt are waiting. And you're driving." We walk out of the room.
