You stared at the cream door separating you and the tall male. You didn't mean to make him mad. You were surprised actually, that just the fact that you came home a half an hour late was enough to tick him off.
You didn't understand much but you wanted to. You bit your lip in worry. Maybe he's going through something? You really hope this isn't the case.
Nervously, you tap your knuckles on the door a few times. "Hey." You say and a few sobs came from the other side, though you weren't sure if you heard right. You tried twisting open the metal knob of the door but, of course, it was locked.
"Yongguk, what's going on? Why are you like this? Yongguk." You pester on as you press your ear against the cold wooden material, hoping to hear something more aside from threatening silence.
You were slowly getting irritated seeing that he wasn't going to acknowledge you. Your knocks on the door were getting much stronger now as you tried to call for your boyfriend.
What is his actual problem? This guy, seriously. You only came home a little bit late and this is how he acts??
"Yongguk, I swear to god if you don't open this door I wi--"
"(Y/N). Please don't" You could hear the raspiness in his voice, as if he had just run out of fresh tears. As he said those words, he sounded so broken. The anger and annoyance you felt before drifted away from you as worry and sadness replaced them.
What's going on? Why is he being like this? Why the hell is he crying??!! Your heart was on the verge of breaking as you panicked on how bad the situation is.
You've never seen your boyfriend cry. That was never. And you always thought it was because he was very strong. Nothing could break him. Not even the most hurtful thing.
But now hearing his weak voice through this thin door made you want to break down the goddamn wall, rush over to him and envelope him in a hug, healing him from whatever wounds he is facing.
"Yongguk!" You raised your voice as you hit the door. You didn't know what to do. What is he even doing in there? "Yongguk, please open the door!"
But he did not reply. Oh no.. What if he's sick?! What if he collapsed?!!! Oh no no.. please no.. that can't happen.
You suddenly remembered something so you stopped pounding on the door. Quickly, you rushed to your bedroom. The familiar scent of Yongguk lingered in the air but you didn't have time to sit around and enjoy that.
You hurried over to your desk, pulling open each drawer to look for those set of keys. Once you found them, you fumbled for the correct one. Your eyes lit up with hope as you found the tool labeled with "bathroom 1".
Leaving all the drawers in their opened state, you ran back to the room where Yongguk was and shakily inserted the key into the lock. Without wasting a single second, you pushed open the door, and you felt your heart tighten tremendously as you saw him there, sitting motionless inside the bathtub with his back leaning on the teal tiles of the bathroom.
He stared into thin air, not even noticing that you had entered the area.
His face held no emotion and his cheeks were tear-stained. His curly black haired was all messed up and he would jerk a little from time to time."Yongguk." You said in a soft whisper. You couldn't bring yourself to speak louder, just like when you were shouting from the other side of the door. You were afraid. Afraid that if you had spoken stronger, he would shatter into millions of tiny shards of glass right before your eyes.
