To the days
Where our only worries
Were picking a flavour candy
Our only stress
Being caught during tag
Our only pain
The scabs on our knees
To the days
When we were care free
About our outfit choices
When we were care free
About our hairstyles
To the days
Without depression and anxiety
Without internal pain
From a heart so shattered
It messes you up completely
To the days
Without judgement from society
Because you don't fit in
Without judgement from peers
Of who you date or socialize with
To the days
When life was simpler
Situations easier
And problems fewer
To... our childhood
When life was kind...
