a TCM poem

Why does she cry

Why does he speak

He places kisses

Upon her cheek

Tears of sorrow

Words of joy

No one to blame

Just an ordinary girl and boy

She looks at him

He avoids her eyes

The truth does not stay

Wherever he lies

With narrow eyes

And rapt attention

She watches him

He isn't her savior

As she had envisioned

He backs up slowly

Guilt in his veins

He had to do this

For her

She is too good

For someone like him
