"Mina," Charles was sweeping his hands through the wheel. "Once we get home, I will ask you more questions. Get yourself ready." Followed by his smile, he held my hand. The car started like rush and disturbance.

I resisted his grip. The car speeded up.

"I'm sorry." I said to him. "I am not used to guys holding my hand."

"Why? Did you ever have a boyfriend before?"

I didn't respond. I could not recall anything. The car speeded even more.

"I'm sorry." He continued. "Remind me that your memories aren't back yet."

I nodded and smiled back. After a moment of silence, my heartbeat dropped. I turned to look at the windshield from the inside.

Another of those delusions hit me. My sight spun and swirled. My memory got darn shuffled.

"WATCH OUT!" I shouted at the top of my lungs.

Charles hit his brakes. I heard the screeching of the tires so loud.

"What!?" He replied. "What is it?"

"You just hit somebody!" My breath went heavy.

"What? No I didn't!" He replied. "Let's go home and take your pills."

"Yes."

We drove for hours and hours that I thought would be minutes.

"Yup, we're here!" Charles shouted with glee.

It was a clean mansion bathed in gold, silver and white. The porch had seven pillars and in front of it was a yard with infinite greens. It was complete with a pool and a court.

As I went in, several maids greeted us.

"Good afternoon ma'am."

The floor was white marble and the walls are fine peach. Such luxury these people have.

"Wow. So, how many people live here?" I asked him.

He pretended to count by his fingers.

"Uhm, 1?" He laughed.

I laughed back.

He directed me to his room. Meters from the door, he stopped me from opening it.

"Wait."

"Why?"

"Shhh." He silenced me. "Someone is inside.

He opened it slowly ready for violence. He saw two old people waiting for him.

"Mama! Papa!" He shouted.

"Baby." His parents replied.

"What are you doing here?" He asked with sarcasm.

"We just want to give you a quick check before we leave."

"LEAVE?! Where?"

"Philippines. We are going to start our new story there."

"When are you going back?"

"We don't know yet."

I entered the room. They looked at me like they've known me before.

"Oh!" The mother sput. "Who is this?"

"This is Mina." His hands trembled. "She is...."

"What my dear?"

Sweat covered his face in an instant.

"MY GIRLFRIEND!" She is my girlfriend." He continued.

I had no words to speak, so I kept silent as long as I can take.

"At last! My baby has a girlfriend." The father spoke. "Have you kissed yet?"

"Not yet." He kept on replying straight.

"Ooh! Can I be there on your first kiss?"

Things just got worse and worse.

"But your leaving, right?" He pretended to giggle.

"Oh, that's right." The mother said. "We're leaving. Uuhm.. may I ask you to do it right now?"

"We want to see your first kiss. That's all."

What is a girl to do in this situation? I didn't live for this.

"Faster! We will be late for our flight."

"Just promise not to embarrass me." Charles mumbled.

"Cross my heart."

Charles held my hand and stepped closer. He whispered to my ear.

"I'm sorry."

That's all I heard of him. He kissed me in the lips in front of his proud parents. I blushed and it was seen from a mile.

"Wow! Thank you Mina." The mother spoke. "I hope you forgive us."

"Bye baby!"

The coast is clear. His parents are gone.

"What was that?!" I shouted at him. "I can't believe you."

"You liked it didn't you." He replied.

"No. No. No. Period."

"Mina, I've studied Psychology so don't deny.

"You bi*ch!"

"Ok, I'm sorry."

Yup, his first kiss was a false. And probably mine too.

At last the quarrel stopped. Don't ask me, 'cause I felt nothing.

"So, why did you do it?" I asked him, still rubbing my lips off.

"My parents can't know my job right now."

"Detective?"

"Yes."

Charles stepped forward out the door and pointed out the hallway.

"Through there is your room. Change up then return here. There's a pile of clothes there."

I followed him. And returned back. I wore a pattern of red and black lines. A simple blouse.

"Good, your back." He stated. "Most of the girls would take hours to prepare, especially with me around."

He kept on bragging and bragging like.. I don't know.
