"Make a wish. It's 11:11." She tells me.

I laugh. "I wish for fire powers." I joke.

She laughs. "You're supposed to make a realistic wish. Most of mine have come true."

"Yeah right."

I watch the time change to 11:12. I get a major chill down my spine as I hear her phone go off.

"My wish came true." She squeals looking at her phone. "Sam finally texted me. I guess magic does exist."

I suddenly find it hard to breathe. I get heartburn. I'm clutching my chest in agony.

"Are you alright right?"

I shake my head as if to say no. I can't talk the pain is getting worse. I start coughing and it feels like actual fire.

"Sir, " she yells at the teacher. "Sir. You have to come help, Seth. Something's wrong."

I see our teacher run over to me and my vision starts to go red. My hands slammed into the desk and suddenly everyone is looking at us.

I take a giant breath with all the strength I have.

Fire bursts out of me as I exhale.

I hear an alarm goes off. I caught the chair in front of me on fire. People are running out of the room.

I can breathe again. No more pain. I get up and start for the door. My teacher running behind me.

Well. I guess my wish came true too.

I get outside and everyone from my class is looking at me and some of the classes around them.

Word spreads quickly here. Where everyone is together.

Soon everyone is looking at me. But not because they've been told. My head feels hot.

My short hair is on fire. It's cool. But it frightens the others.

I run away from the school. I start for home. I can figure something out there.

How am I going to explain this to my mom? What will she say? What will my dad and siblings say?

I have to do something before they get home.

I finally reach home. Everyone outside that I passed was staring at my head. Not me. My head.

I'm in the bathroom. I look into the mirror. My eyes went from a chocolate brown to a fire red. I love my look. But others won't. I can't live my life with everyone else being afraid of me.

What if I lose control of myself and burn down entire cities like they do in the movies.

Shower.

What will that do?

I strip down to bare skin and turn on the water without touching it.

I quickly get into the shower. It burns. Like I'm dying. Like when you put water in a fire it dyes. And the only way to save it is to remove the water.

I jump out. Drying myself off. Burning a hole through the towel. Gotta hide that before anyone sees it.

I'll call Jake. He won't know what to do but might be able to help.

I put my clothes on singeing the edges so far my shirt went from a long sleeve to a crop top tank top. And my baggy jeans to a pair of shorts.

I grab my fire blanket and put it over my hands. I press the home button on my iPhone because I can't really press anything else because I'm afraid of burning it.

"Siri. Call Jake on speaker phone." I command my phone.

"Calling Jake on speakerphone." The phone replies back before a few rings.

I put the phone in front of me with my fire blanket between it and my hands.

" What up little bro? Shouldn't you be in class right now?" He wonders.

" No time to explain. Just get to the house now. I need your help." I demand.

" Be right there. About ten minutes away. I hope you didn't burn down the house or something." He lets out a small laugh at the end of his sentence then hangs up the phone.

If I can trust any of my siblings. It's Jake.

I go and sit on the stone floor of our basement so I don't do any more damage. Stone can't catch on fire.

I'm wrapt in my fire blanket because I don't want Jake to scare me and I shoot a fireball or something.

About ten minutes pass and I hear the door open.

"Seth? Where are You? It's me, Jake. Are you Alright?" I hear him call me.

"Jake. I'm down in the basement." Come here." I announce and immediately here quick footsteps coming down the stairs.

I start to worry what he might say. But I have no time for that. I must tell him.

He stands in front of me with fear in his eyes.

" What do you need little bro?" He asks.

I push the blanket off to reveal my half burnt off clothing and flame hair. "I don't know what to do." I break two minutes worth of silence.

" What is this? Why are your clothes burnt? What's going on? When did this happen? Where did you-"

"Stop." I cut him off. " Too many questions at a time. Let me just... explain."

He nodded.

I tell him everything.
