Chapter 3- The One

"I say, at night when everybody is fast asleep we give Sandy a visit." I plop down beside Mark on the couch. After our fight Alpha John drag Sandy away and told me and Mark to behave for the Sunrise pack will arrive in two hours. So Mark and I decided to hang out on the living room just to kill time.

"Don't be immature Anna." He groans in proccess placing my legs ontop of his. "Besides. the Sunrise pack arrives today, so there's no way the pack house would be fast asleep." Crap, I totally forgot that the Sunrise pack arrives today.

In comes the freaking butterflies! Seriously? When have I ever gotten butterflies?

Nada.

"I hope that my mate is there, or I'm giving up." He whines.

"Well I hope that my mate never shows up." He gives a curious look. "What? I don't want my mate to know what a complete slut I was." I shrug my shoulders.

"Hey, don't lose hope. Mates will always accept their mates flaws. Okay?" Marks cooes at me.

"What ever." I mutter under my breath. Thanks to bitch Sandy, I'm very much afraid to meet my mate. I mean, who wouls want a slut for a mate? I wouldn't. ''Hey Mark?''

''Yeah?'' He looks away from the television amd looks at me.

''If I were your mate, would you accept me? Slut and all?'' I could feel my heart banging so hard on my chest. I could the fight on his eyes. I already knew his answer. ''You don't need to answer that, I already know.'' God, I was so stupid for asking that question. Now I made Mark uncomfortable!

''I-'' But Mark couldn't finish his sentence because Alpha John entered the room and his gaze was focus on me.

''Get ready both of you, Sunris pack has arrived.'' Alpha John was still at me. What was his problem? ''Anna, a word please?'' I stand up from the couch not without Mark giving me a confuse glance.

I just shrug my shoulders at him. I too am wondering what John want from me? I mean I was keeping out fron trouble for the past four hours. I must rewarded for that, I mean I haven't stayed out from trouble that long.

I quickly follow John, he was walking towards the backyard.

''So what is it that you want?'' I was playing with the hem of my dress.

''I want you to steer clear from the Alpha.'' John says. I quickly look up at him to see that his jaw ticking, was there a dispute between the two of them?

Then it me. He thought that once I look at him, I would hump him. I could feel my blood boiling. Is that how John thinks of me?

Well I did brand myself as a slut, but still it hurts. I've always thought that John understood me, he always have. But I guess not.

''Why? It's not like I'll hump him the second I see him.'' I sneer at him. In return, he growls at me.

''Dont forget for a second that I'm still your Alpha Summers.'' I could feel my wolf backing away from my thoughts and I show my neck in submission. ''I didn't mean it like that Anna.'' He sighs and run a hand through his face. ''It's just, their Alpha is frustrated. He's like a ticking time bomb.''

Now I was curious. ''Why is he like that?''

''His mate rejected him.'' I almost choke on my own spit.

What the hell? Who would reject their mate? They should be glad that their mte accepts them, as for me I don't even know if my mate would ever accept me.

''Why? Why would his mate reject him?'' Now I was beyond curious.

''Because his mate fell in love with another wolf.'' I could feel my heart breaking. That would hurt like a bitch. ''It was rumored that she fell in love with their Omega.''

I could feel my eyes bulging out from my sockets. What in the actual hell! Wow, what a story.

''Wow.'' I whisper.

''Yeah, wow.'' John then stills, his body going rigid amd his face was in concentration.

Mind Link.

Someone was mind linking him. Oh how I miss being mind link. It's been ages since I felt a presence in my head, but that was long ago. Before the incident.

''Its time to greet the Sunrise pack.'' John breaks me out from my thoughts. ''Their out in the front waiting for me to welcome them.'' With that said we both made our way to the front door. Oh god, the damn butterflies are back.

What in carnation is going on, it was like I was on my first date.

''Alpha Kendrick, it's good to know that you got here safetly.'' Alpha John greets the visting Alpha.

I didn't even notice that we arrived the front door. Then something hit me.

It was the most delicious scent I have ever smelled in my life. It was all woodsy and masculine. Shit, I could feel my lower region waking up.

I loom up to look for the source but I was only greeted by a mass of muscles covered in a fitting black shirt.

''Thank you for opening your house to us Alpha Reynolds.'' The man whom I'm certain is the Alpha of sunrise pack greets John. I could feel his stare boring into me. ''And who might this be? You're mate?'' Alpha Kendrick asks John, his voice lace with curiousity.

''No, she's a pack memeber.'' John push me towards the Alpha. ''Anna,'' Oh, I forgot. Where are my manners.

I look up and I was breathless.

He was gorgeous. Baby blue eyes, plump lips, tan skin and very tall. Was his mate stupid or something? Cause he is so damn fine.

''Hello Alpha Kendrick, welomce to the Fire pack, I hope you have a nice stay here.'' I smile brightly at him and he seems to be taken aback. His eyes were still staring at me.

''Jason!'' He growls at someone. I could feel a shiver run through my body. ''Come here.''

The crowd parted for someone and I could feel my wolf waking up. Who was this Jason and why was my wolf for excited?

A lanky, ashen skin and dark haired guy came out and walk towarda the Alpha His face was hidden because he was looking down.

I could feel my heart soaring through the sky. What in actual hell.

He finally looks up and our eyes meet.

I could feel sparks crackle in the air, his eyes were a beautiful green, so green that I could get lost in it for years, his face was not so strong but I could see he was wiseful.

A gasp left me lips and he in return gasp too.

''I suggest-'' But Alpha Kendrick was cut off.

''Mine.'' Those words got out from his beautiful lips and his voice was so medolic that I could feel myself go wet.

Everyone in the room had gone still.

Well sit. Now I know why I got those damned butterflies in the first place.
