With the darkness pressing closer on every side of me it was all I could do to run, I willed my legs faster praying that they would endure for a little longer. My internal clock was telling me that it would be morning soon so Twi was sure to notice my distress. But as the clock ticked down to the last few minutes, it never seemed to end. The darkness wraping around me as a playfully evil voice echoes from all around. "Time is relative in the mind, and being such a powerless fool leaves you open for me to enjoy~" the shadows gripped me tighter, chanting my name over and over. "Sunset. Sunset. Sunset!" My eyes snap open as I look up at Twilight, her eyes wide with concern. "Sunset?! Are you okay?" I smile and nod weakly to startled to say a word. A knock at the door quickly alerted us to the gaurds presence outside, as I rose to my feet they quickly give out, the gaurd swiftly moving to catch me, helping me back to my feet before escorting us back to the central chamber. Celestia and Luna already on their chairs descussing something privately as we enter. Luna was quick to rise offering a slight bow as she spoke. "I must apologize for my actions yesterday and I am sorry for any harm I have caused you." I look up at her in surprise before I respond. "Please don't bow to me, I was your student and your family. I pained you both far more than a small cut could compare. I don't deserve this level of respect or trust. I don't deserve anything close to what I have already received. I should have been locked in a cell and left to rot." Beside me, Twilight cringed slight. Her eyes expressing the pain my words were causing her. When I finished speaking Luna rose to her hooves. "No, you were simply wanting to be taught at a faster rate and we failed to show you the lesson properly. This was what caused you to think irrationally. If wetook more care and paid more attention to the signs we could have been spared of all this...destruction and chaos" I lower my head with shame before raising my head to look over at both Luna and Celestia. "T-thank you...thank you both for being such kind and caring mentors...thank you for this second chance in life." I smile softly and watch them with curious eyes. Twilight smiled at me kindly, her body pressed against mine in an attempt to comfort me. Celestia then stood. "Your crimes against both Equestria and the alternate world cannot go unpunished. We have deliberated carefully and have chosen the best course of action for your future. Alongside Twilight Sparkle you will act as an ambassador between worlds. This will improve your relations on both sides of the mirror." Twilight's jaw dropped and I stood there dazed. "A-ambassador? Are you sure? T-thats an important task, do you truly trust me enough for that?" It took forever for my thoughts to.turn to words but I was grateful they did. Celestia nodded and smiled softly. "We do. Now go rest, you have a lot to prepare for." I simply nodded and walked to the door "And Sunset?" I turn curiously to look at my teacher again "Welcome home." With that tears welled up in my eyes, I couldn't stop them as I walked the halls back to my room. "W-welcome home.... I'm really home again..." And with that I curled up on my bed and let my emotions flow. The slow trickle quickly turning into a full on flood. And with the torrent like a rapid river, they slowly pulled my back into an exhausted and dreamless sleep.
