NIGHT SKYS (shadow x reader)

Chapter fore

Readers POV

We got up to shadows room and shadow let me have a shower and get changed into some casual looking pjs. I put my fur/quills outer animal like things depending on what animal you choose into a pony tail and walked out into shadows room.

Shadow was laying on the bed with his eyes closed, he does that a lot, I wonder what he thinks about. I sat on the end of the bed and shadow slowly opened his eyes "is everything ok?" I ask shadow with concern.

"Yes," shadow answers plainly.

Shadow stands up and walks into the bath room.

I yarn  and walk over the outer side of the bed, lifted the blanket and lay myself underneath it. The sound of water running through the walls and coming out into the shower in the next room relaxed me, it was almost like rain.   

I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.

Shadows POV

I walked into my room still drying my quills, I stopped walking when I sore y/n asleep in the bed. She looks so peaceful, so relaxed, it almost looks like this was her first moment of peace she ever experienced.

I feel bad for the girl, all she lived with at such a young age, what events would haft to occur to make her mother behave the way she does towards y/n?

I let my mind wonder on about the things y/n has experienced as walked over to the bed and lay next to y/n looking up at the roof. I turned my head to look at y/n, she's so beautiful, someone told me you can tell a lot about a person by the face expressions they give when a sleep. Unfortunately I do not know how to tell.

I turned my body so I'm laying on my lift side looking at y/n, she's laying on her right side faced to me.

I lift my hand up to y/n's face and gently run the back of my fingers down her cheek and down to her lip I gently run my thumb on her bottom lip.

I sigh and grab y/n's wast and pull her into a hug, her head lays on my chest. I have come to a realisation; I love y/n.    

I have never fallen in love before, i know she must not feel the same way, that's probably for the best after all, how knows what danger I could put her in.

I close my eyes and fall asleep.

    In the morning

Readers POV

I slowly open my eyes and realise shadow is holding me in his arms, my head is leaning on his chest and I can hear his hart beating. I smile and lean in closer to his chest. I look up and see shadows face, he's still asleep, he's so cute asleep.

Shadow lets out a deep growl, slowly he opens his eyes, his eyes land on my, once he realises what he's doing he takes his arms off my and rolls back but falls of the bed.

"S-shadow!" Shadow lands with a 'thud' "are you alright?" I ask looking over the edge of the bed.
"Yes, y/n, I'm sorry." He says.
"For what?" I ask.
"What I was doing."
"Don't be sorry shadow," shadow looks up with surprise "I was enjoying it" I say quietly.
"Y/n, I love you." Shadow says looking in the outer direction.
"... I love you too, shadow" I reply to him.
"What?" He asks looking back to me.
I smile and step out of the bed, once I got my balance I walked over to shadow and give him my hand with a smile. He took it and I helped him to stand.

"Come on. It's Sunday, do you want to do something together?" I ask shadow.
"Where do you wish to go?"  Shadow replies.
"It's kinda far away but I want to go to an amusement park!" I say happily.
I live in Australia so it's going to be one here. You may not know what it is or what it's like.
"Do you like rides?" Shadow asks.
I nod with a smile on my face.
"How about movie world?"
"That will ever grate shadow!"

Shadow walked out of the room so I got changed into a white shirt with the sleeves hanging blow my shoulders, black pants, Gary boots that go an inch above my ankles and I started to put my fur/quills into too plats one of the left and one on the right.

I walked down to shadow he had a backpack on his back "It's a 180 min drive, since it's early if we lave now we could get there by 9am." Shadow said when he sore me.

"Sure, just give me another moment." I replayed.

I walked back up the stares and found my small black bag and my peruse in it, I grabbed it and ran down to the flor shadow was on. Shadow looked over to me and gave me a small smirk, he took my hand and led me out side, his car was a deep f/c.

We started to drive and I was messing around with the car controls and found a BT connection and connected it to my phone and started to play the one-X album of three days grace I got off iTunes "I hope you don't mind" I said to shadow.

"I don't mind at all y/n, I quite like three days grace." Shadow replied.

If you don't know who three days grace is, if your a heavy mettle or hard rook fan you should check them out. I really love that band SAMs with skillet wile I'm at it. Sorry back to the story.

I start to hum along with the song and loom out the window. Today is going to be fun, I just know it.
