"Shut up!" I scream as loud as my voice would allow knowing my parents wouldn't hear me anyway. "I hate you!" I say as I throw my mothers beloved vase missing my step dads head by a mere inch. Damn I missed. They are always fighting. Always. There is never a good day with them. I run upstairs slamming the door to the bathroom.
I look in the mirror and I hate what I see. Everyone tells me I'm beautiful, I see nothing but long basic black hair, pale blue eyes, and lips that have never been kissed. Is it possible to love yourself? I've always wished and prayed I would wake up one day and be beautiful like a Victoria Secret model. But dreams never really do come true.
I fall asleep that night with tears streaming down my face. "What could I have done to deserve a life like this?"
I wake up to the singing of my alarm clock. I smile as I listen to Justin Biebers music and decide I should get up and get ready for school. I pick out my usual outfit of a tee shirt, skinny jeans, and my favorite combat boots. "Today is going to be a good day" I promise myself and head for the shower.
A half hour later after straightening my hair I run downstairs missing the bottom step nearly falling. "Just my luck". I refuse to get angry at myself and walk into the kitchen to see that both of my parents are already gone to work. I smile, grab my car keys, and head to school.
Walking through the front doors I meet my best friend Amber. She smiles and we begin our usual conversation of boys, homework, and weekend plans considering the fact that it's Friday. "I can't believe your step dad bought you an Audi R8. Your freaking spoiled!" she yells in my face as if I didn't already know. My parents either like to try to buy my affections or keep me from bugging them. Either way I don't appreciate anything they give me. But I won't turn down a perfectly nice car.
School goes by so slow this particular day. Maybe since it was prom weekend. I don't know. All I knew was that I was going with Jackson Hughes and he was
the most perfect guy in the entire school. I was completely infatuated with him, well that was until prom night.
