A New Friendship

It's been a week since I've talked to Jack. The boys say he hasn't been eating, never comes out of his room, and hasn't showered in a week. I truly felt bad. I loved Jack. but maybe we went too fast. it broke my heart knowing he's in pain. but I think we went too fast, he gave me this promise ring too fast, he accused me of cheating too fast, I think we need time but I'll let him know.

Me: Hey Jack! I just want you to know that I love you so much but I just need a little time to myself right now. maybe we are going too fast and need to take it slower. I love you Jack! please please get something to eat and take care of yourself.

I put my phone done and got ready for the day. Today I was going to the Grove to spoil myself. I felt like buying nice clothes and shoes today for no reason so why not. I showered, brushed my teeth, got dressed, and did my makeup. I called an uber and waited till it arrived.

*skip car ride*

I arrived at the Grove and walked into a Starbucks. (yes I know) I get in line behind a guy with brown hair. I wasn't paying much attention to what he was talking about or doing. but by the time I picked what drink in wanted it was time for me to order.

"Hi, can I get a venti Iced Caramel Macchiato please" I asked.

"of course, and name please?" she asked.

"Adelina" I answered and spelled out for the lady.

"Also that young man over there has paid for your drink" she pointed to the young man with brown hair who used to be standing in line before me. I walked over to him.

"excuse me, uh hi, I um just wanted to say thank you for buying my drink it was very thoughtful," I paused, "would you mind if I paid you back?" I asked him.

"oh no please, I just felt the urge to do so." he smiled.

"thank you." I smiled back. "I didn't catch your name by the way" I said.

"The names Aj, Aj Mitchell," he paused, "what about you?" he asked.

"Adelina, Adelina Paul." I smiled and got my drink as the lady called my name.

"so do you want to hang out?" Aj asked.

"sure! why not,".I paused, "I'm going shopping for clothes and nice shoes" I sand the last few words.

"let's do it" he agreed.

Time passes by and I was having so much fun with Aj. I bought Aj new shoes too, even though he told me not to. even though I just met him I felt like we've been best friend forever. I feel like I can be myself around him not like we're dating like best friends who have a power that no one can pull apart.

"Aj?" I asked.

"Yes?" he replied.

"uh um, I don't mean to like friend zone you but like, can we be best friends?" I asked nervously.

"I THOUGHT YOU'D NEVER ASK!" he embraced me in a tight hug.

*time skip because why not*

Aj had dropped my off at logan's apartment. I take the elevator up. I reach his apartment and hear music. I unlock the door and walk in. I walk towards the kitchen to only come face to face with Jack Avery himself.

A/N~ Yes I know this chapter sucked and I'm so sorry. I haven't had much time to update and haven't had many fresh ideas yet for what to do for this upcoming chapter. ive been extremly stressed out lately and don't know what to do. I know you won't read this but I'm sorry again for the long wait for updates and the crappy chapters.  Thank you.
