LEAVING MY BLACK STRANDS IN SPACE BUNS AND LETTING MY HAIR CURL DOWNWARDS, I take my time in getting ready just to anger her further. I pull on a black and gold crop top and black leggings with my signature black Jordan's.
I slip a pin into my hair and grin from ear-to-ear before applying a light coat of lipgloss, shoving it into my black container in my dresser, I make my way to my bedroom from the overzealous bathroom.
My roommate's blonde locks were straightened and in a high cheerleader-esque ponytail while wearing a Nike tracksuit with a hat that prominintely showed off the Nike logo.
The banging on the door increased, and I could only imagine an angry Zeus on the other side with a spa robe on with pickles on her eyes. Nearly snorting, I open the door before shoving her back and joining the line of chattering yet hungry students.
In front of me, I saw Atalanta conversing with a student much shorter than she, she had stark white hair but the most enchanting eyes-- as strange as it sounded, her eyes were the color of a rainbow, she fidgeted with her fingers as she continued to mumble incoherent words that made my roommate double back in laughter.
"IRIS! You seriously haven't ever eaten ice cream before? Jeez, you're so cut off from the world, aren't you?" She fidgets again before saying something in a very low voice. She fidgets a lot, Iris.
She wore a long oversized baby blue sweater that had the longest sleeves, she wore white socks and white sneakers, I couldn't tell of the logo. Her hair was down to conceal her face, but she must've sensed something because her head snapped up as soon as she hears a voice.
Zeus leads the line to a familiar door, Selene's dorm room. I hear them converse before she slams the door in the leader's face. After waiting for a solid ten self destructive minutes, Selene and her roommate appeared on the scene, she wore a modest long warm brown sweater tucked into denim jeans and brown uggs. My heart stopped for a minute, she looked incredibly beautiful.
Her roommate wore a long sweater that was cheerleader-esque but matched her color screen. Stripes skinny and longmade their way across the sweater in light and dark shades of purple lilac. She wore black tights and a black mini skirt, her hair done up in lower pigtails.
She daudled behind me and twiddled her fingers, looking at me thoughtfully. Compared to her short stature I was pretty tall. I grinned and almost turned to give her a knowing look as we journeyed to the cafeteria. We would eat our breakfast and then go on our tour, the thought of that made me almost give up a knowing smirk, everyone would see my graffiti.
As we sat down, we were served nectar and honey with fluffy pancakes with a evenly cut thin slice of butter adorned in the middle as syrup ran over it like a waterfall. On the side was served scrambled eggs and honey in a glass cup, a red muffin laid off to the side as I began to eat and listen to distant conversation until I felt the seat next to me become occupied.
To complain in protest, my voice hitched in my throat as I saw her next to me. "Is... it alright to sit here? It's too loud over there..." she trails off and I notice a strand of white in her blue eyes, flicking it behind her ear I nod in awe of her beauty.
She begins to eat an omelet and work on her honey, and I began strapping down my waffles and ate a bottle of protein milk someone was gracious enough to give me. As I put down my fork I hear a jolt and instant shouting.
I look up and notice a disheveled human sitting on the floor and an angry looking God. As I got closer, I noticed ugly black and white outdated converse with a black band t-shirt and messy I-Just-Rushed-Out-Of-Bed-Hair that was red, a crowd had formed by now.
The human was a scrawny looking boy with the biggest glasses I'd ever seen on a human-- or God. And let me tell you, when I say big I mean nearly covering his whole eyes with thick black rims. He had boyish black hair and grey eyes, and Korean features, he looked pretty small, maybe 5'5.
I noticed breadsticks and cheese covering the God's band shirt, as he looked up, we were greeted with golden eyes that only sparked fury. "You piece of shit!--" as he lunged forward, I hold my palms out as a gold force pushed out, keeping a thick barrier between them so neither of them could attack eachother.
Thick or not, it was the first spell and magic use I performed as a young child so of course I was better at controlling it. Eyes cold and warm forced themselves to look at me as I gave them a cheeky smirk. "Aren't you bored of picking on humans? They can't do anything to you guys back, you look like a huge ass right now, don't you? I'd suggest you stay away from him for now on if you know what's best for you."
He growls before he walks away and storms through a pathway to an exit door. I notice a small presence beside me, I look down and am greeted by Selene, she wad so quiet I never really notice her.
Her eyes glow before looking up at me. "That... was a powerful spell, how were you able to do that?" Her voice was quiet too, she seemed so elegant and fragile. "I learned it, isn't that how you perform spells?" I respond cheekily before she rubs her cheek into her sweater.
She watched the small boy from earlier leap back into his seat in relief as he ate on his French toast sticks. "He's not human," she whispers, and I snap my head back to her. "How do you know?" She allows her hair to purpose itself as a curtain as she shakes her head. "Nothing, I didn't say anything."
Before I could ask her further, I see a messy haired Zeus, a rare sight, with her posse trailing behind her. "Hurry up! I don't have all day!"
