The sun shone through the double glazed window of the small 3X3 metre room. The suns rays bounced off of a small circular mirror which hung on the dark red painted wall, adjacent to the window. Dust smothered the mirrors surface, clouding up the reflection it gave back. The rim of the reflective glass was covered with a thick pale red boarder of plastic. It was cracked in multiple places, showing how old it was. Almost exactly below the mirror was a mattress laid down on the cold wooden floor. The bed sheets lay across it, crumpled and scruffy as they buried the female underneath, concealing her from the early morning sun. Her hair was that of burning embers, laying in a long neat plait behind her as she slept on her right side. Her skin was as pale as the sheets she lay on, almost blending into it if it was not for the colour of her pinkish soft lips, smiling lightly as she enjoyed the enrolling scenario playing in her head. In conclusion, her morning was peaceful and calm, quiet and simple, it was tranquil.
"Come on Elizabeth!" An old man spoke as he pushed open the door, which was opposite the window, entering the room with a mug in his left hand.
Bags practically shone under his cheerful greying eyes. His naturally olive skin wrinkled across his face and arms which where not covered and hidden by his dark blue dressing gown. His grey hair was kept in a small ponytail at the back of his head.
"I'm up. What time is it old man?" The female from beneath the sheets grunted as she began to emerge from them, peering up at him with her obscure eyes.
She was born heterochromic, one eye being brown while the other was golden. Once she was sat up completely, the elderly male handed her the mug, which she hugged in her hands, smelling the warm scent of English Tea. She began to inspect the warm object. It was the mug she had gotten as a birthday gift a week ago from the old man in front of her. It was white with light red polka dots spread across its surface. On the handle, 'Happy 21st Birthday. Love the Old Man!' was inscribed in black.
"6 a.m." He replied simply, smiling at her with his ancient, worn out grin.
Elizabeth nodded lightly, taking a small sip of the liquid in her hands, brushing her finger along the inscriptions.
"Guess I better get ready for work." She said, taking a larger mouth full of her tea before placing it down on the floor beside the mattress.
"Yes, you better young lady. You've got to get your project finished." He spoke with his croaky voice.
"Its practically finished." She spoke, reaching for the open suitcase at the end of her make shift bed, pulling out a top and a pair of jeans, not taking any notice to whether they match or not.
"Well why is Mr Akihiko worrying about you getting into work today to finish it? He's been calling about it since 4'o'clock this morning." The old man informed her, raising an eyebrow with an unamused expression.
She simply stared at him in confusion, slowly rising to her feet. Then she shrugged her shoulders as she began to guide the older male out of her tiny room.
"I'm not sure. He probably wants us to go over everything one last time or something. Anyway, I'll meet you downstairs for breakfast after I get changed." She told him, closing the door as he left.
She didn't wait for his reply. She just began to remove her clothing and replace it with a black 'Motionless In White' tee and a pair of fiery red skinny jeans. Once she was in her fresh attire, she stood in front of the mirror on the wall. She began to undo the plait in her hair, leaving it wavy. Then she reached for her hair comb, brushing through her, mid-back length, hair. After combing through it thoroughly, removing all of the knots and tangles, she tied it up in to a ponytail, making it seem shorter than it actually was. Her side fringe fell, hiding her mystical eye.
