Lauren

''Ok girl keep it together, you had your five minute cry for the day, now we smile''Lauren says as she stares at her self in the mirror. ''Take a deep breath, ok there we go''. She smiles at herself and then walks out of the girl's bathroom. Every teenager in the hall stops and gawks at Lauren as she walks past. Lauren knows how fond people are of her however she is constantly self-conscious, All of her confidence is just an act, but no one will ever know.

''HEY LERN!'' Lauren hears a familiar voice shout as she steps foot into the cafeteria. She glances over to her usual table and see's her best-friends are already seated. Normani Kordei, Ally Brooke, and Dinah Jane. Although they have all been friends since they were in diapers, she could never let them know how fucked up her brain is, they would think she is crazy and drop her as a friend.'' Hey babies, how is everyone?'' Lauren said excitedly as she took a seat. Ally spoke straight away '' Oh my god, Laur, I was just telling these two about this new girl in my music class. Her name was Camilla, I think but girl, she can sing for real''. Lauren laughed at how excited Ally was about a girl she didn't even know. Maybe Ally has a girl crush Lauren thought. Dinah then interrupted Lauren's thoughts '' Oh is that the Cuban-Mexican girl? Yeah she joined my home-room, she is cute'' She paused ''I mean hot, she is fire'' Lauren wondered again if Dinah too had a crush on this girl and looked to Normani to see what she thinks. ''Don't look at me, I've never seen the girl''. Lauren pushed aside the thoughts of the new girl and changed the subject. '' So another party at my house tomorrow night?'' Lauren suggested. All the other girls shared glances and then Ally spoke up '' Don't you think we have enough parties, Lauren, that's five Fridays in a row?''. Lauren looked a bit disgusted '' No one said any of you had to keep coming, I was just telling you a party will happen, Jesus fucking Christ''. The other girls looked away in shock and no one could say anything before the bell ringed and they each got up and went there separate ways.

Lauren and Normani shared the next class together, Art, Lauren's favorite. They walked in silence until Mani spoke quietly '' were just concerned Lauren, you have changed a little, we just want to know that you are ok'' They both stopped in the hallway and Lauren took a deep breath, ''I know Mani, I'm ok, I promise. I'm sorry I snapped at you''. Mani gave Lauren a warm smile ''I know, I understand. Apology accepted!'' She exclaimed and then they hugged before walking into the class, they went to the back where they usually sit. Lauren sat down and looked to the front of the class where Miss Gomez was standing with a girl Lauren has never seen. She had long dark hair and tanned skin, her face was beautiful and her body was perfectly curved. She was too good to be true. ''Ok class, listen! We have someone new here. This is Camila Cabello, she will be joining the class.'' Miss G turned to the girl and said quieter ''Why don't you go sit with the girls in the back honey?''. My mind panicked, she was walking to our table, Thank God Mani is here to start the conversation. ''Hey, Camila was it? can I call you Mila?'' The girl smiled ''Sure''. '' I am Normani, This is Lauren'' Mani said as she looked over to me. ''You can call me Mani''. Camila nodded in my direction. ''And what can I call you?... Lauren'' I choked on my breath, the way she said my name, it just captured my every thought, I don't even know this girl, why does she have such a big effect on me, she is just mesmerizing. ''Um Lauren is fine unless you think of something else'' The girl hummed ''Well ok then''. Mani then spoke breaking the tension '' We have a friend in your music class that mentioned you can sing, Her name is Ally. However, she did call you Camilla by mistake''. Camila chuckled ''It's alright, happens a lot. Yeah, I do like to sing, it's my passion'' Lauren thought, '' of course, she can sing, she is absolutely gorgeous and she can sing, her life is set'' The class went on and they just discussed simple things like family and hobbies. It seemed like the longest day of Lauren's life, she just felt so nervous around this girl. Mani and Camila were talking about stuff they do on the weekends. ''Hey do you like to party?'' Camila's face lit up. '' OH MY GOD! Yes, I love a party.'' The dark skin girl squealed excitedly '' Well guess what? You are coming to a party at Lauren's house tomorrow night'' Lauren's eye's widened, what has Normani done?.
