"Are you serious?" I groaned as I tried wiggling the doorknob again. 'Evicted'. That is just spectacular  I thought. I walked downstairs to get the secretary to give the new key so I could get inside and at least get my stuff. She wasn't very happy with me. I walked up to her and sighed," I need the new key for my room so I can get my stuff." She rolled her eyes and typed into her computer. "Name." She said irritated with me; or it was her life. I wasn't that sure. "Solis Manuel." I waited imperturbably. The lady typed some more. One finger at a time. Click. Click. Click. I looked around observing the room. Her nametag read Kathy. She looked up from her computer and handed me the key," You have twenty-four hours." I took the key and hiked back up the stairs. Don't worry, I'll be out in twenty-four minutes. I packed quickly. I didn't have much so it didn't take me long to leave this craphole. I walked down the street thinking about what I was going to do next. My job sucks so badly that I can't even keep my damn apartment.

I grabbed my phone and looked through my contacts. Why must the galaxy do this to me?  I walked to the coffee shop. I should probably save my money. But I really need a cup of joe. I walked inside and looked at the woman at the counter. She was a bubbly person. Her makeup was perfectly applied to her face and smile could brighten anybody's day. I smiled at her and grabbed my wallet. I had thirty dollars left. "Hiya! Welcome to the World's Best Coffee! What would you like?" I didn't have to think about it 'cause I already knew," Black, two sugars." She nodded and walked to the back to grab a paper cup. I smiled as I waited for my coffee.

It tasted disgusting but that didn't matter.  It burned my mouth but that did not effect me all that much. I walked around the park while trying to contact my sister. She was hours away from here but she was my only other chance to finding a place to stay.

"Solis! Hey! How are ya? How have you been?" A familiar voice said walking along side me. I gave them a small smile," Not so great. I just got kicked out of my apartment. Now I'm on the search for somewhere to stay." His eyebrows stitched together to form a caterpillar. He was an old friend that went to the same college as me. His name was, Charlie."Solis, you can stay with me if you like. But just to let you know there is also another person that has moved in temporarily." He smiled at me. "That'd be so great! And I don't mind. As long as they aren't a complete moron." I laughed lightly and then slowly stopped as I realized something. "Wait..." I'm a complete moron. I looked at him as he chuckled lightly," Nah, you'll like him."

When we got there he pulled out his house keys. I examined the house and as we walked in I noticed many things. He showed me to a spare room and smiled as he welcomed me into the room. "Nice." I studied the room. Kinda dusty. My nose turned red and a burning sensation appeared. "Well I hope you enjoy your stay. You may live here as long as you need." He answered walking out.

I began to unpack and I smacked at the dust to get it out of the room. "Jesus, nose. Can you no-" My nose blew up in my face. "Calm down, nose. No need to get excited." I heard a person step into my room. I waited for the sound of Charlie's voice as I turned around to meet there eyes. "Hi, I'm Vincent." They smiled as they continued," I am defiantly a human." I chuckled lightly," I'm Solis. I assume  you are the person who is also staying here."  He nodded and leaned on the door," Yea. I needed a place to stay so I could breed my snakes. Oh and lizards. I needed a place to stay so I could breed my snakes and lizards."  I arched a brow," Really?" He nodded once more," I'll show you."

I followed him to the room. We walked inside and I looked around the room finding many cages full of reptiles. They hissed and slithered along the walls of their enclosure. I looked at Vincent. He put a mouse in one glass box and the snake slowly creped towards it. "Do the snakes ever crawl out in the middle of the night to come sleep with you?" I asked that for my own knowledge because I do not want to wake up cuddling a snake. "Nope. they stay in this room all night." He answered. We walked out of the room. "So, are you a scientist that studies snakes and reptiles, too? I saw that you have many journals overflowing with papers."  Vincent shook his head," I'm not a scientist but I do study them. I'd much rather use my own research than the crap on the internet." He's fantastic . Extremely smart. Seeing how smart he is makes me feel bad for myself. I am a goofball that always turns something serious into something silly.
