Memorial Day

A day of remembrance,

but many Americans forget.

This day in May,

that needless to say

is for your friends

for your family.

For the people

that made living in the U.S.

Possible.

This holiday made by

a General of the U.S.

Is not just for the Army,

Not just for the Navy,

the marines or air force.

These fields work together,

so this holiday is for all.

A day of remembrance,

but many Americans forget.

"Kneel Where Our Loves are Sleeping"

a hymn directly for

the families,

the loved ones of these

Fallen heroes.

At first it was known

to be celebrated the thirtieth

but now the last Monday

of May is celebrated.

Kids, and teens alike

out of school for what?

A day of remembrance

but many Americans forget.

We forget about what?

The men,

and the woman.

The soldiers,

and the nurses.

The friends

and the foes.

We forget.

This is a time to grieve

for family who died;

but also to be cheerful

that you get to spend another day alive.

You can speak out against anything,

you can believe whatever your choose.

Your freedom is yours,

So there is no more time to lose

A day of remembrance,

but many Americans forget.

These Americans,

Mexican Americans,

Italian Americans

Spanish Americans

All Americans alike

gave the ultimate Sacrifice

Death for Life.

This is a time to remember

all of Americas heroes.

This is a day,

the day of remembrance.

So don't be the American that forgets.
