Chapter 1: Tears
(Jiro's POV)
It's been 8 years and I am still living like I'm dead. With just a blink of an eye everything I have, has been stole away from me. I almost forgot her face, her scent, her touch, her lips on mine and even her presence. How could I ever forget those? Because my mind thinks, she's dead, but still in my heart she forever live, even though they always say to forget about everything that happened in the past and move on. I feel like I've been living in dream, no, a nightmare that no matter how I tried to wake up, it doesn't seem to have an end. I have been living like a normal person with no reason to live on. If ever I can turn back time, if ever I hold her tight, she will never leave me. If ever I am strong enough to protect her, she would never blame herself and cry alone in a dark corner. If ever I said I loved her many times, she would never give up on me. It was my entire fault in the first place. Even though I tried to remember those times, we felt the world is ours, it seems like I've been living in a dream. Yes, what I want to become a reality will always be a dream and the reality I have been living is what I call my nightmare, very ironic indeed. Why am I still living? It is because somewhere in my heart believe that she is still alive. She is waiting for me to find her. Waiting....waiting.....waiting. I've been searching for you, Silver. I know it's wrong to live in your memories. But it is the only way I can survive on living this life without you. Please, come back to me soon. Please come back again. Don't you have enough hiding from me? Just give me reason again to live. A reason to accept love again in my life. Where are you? Did you forget about me? Don't you love me? No, I know you still love me and I still do.
After the incident eight years ago, everything turned to its old self again,worse. Yuji become a lawyer and run their law office as his father run for a political position. Ayaka became the secretary of her father and help on the activities in the police. Ritsu senpai graduated in culinary school, build-up her own coffee, and cake shop nearby. Kohei senpai, pursue his singing career and became the famous singer in a band, but he also manage their fashion company because he is the only heir. Kannon senpai was a photographer in a famous newspaper that her family runs. Kaname senpai was already managing their companies and putting his own business beside their business empire. Sho senpai is helping to run their family business after Meter-nee san left after their graduation seven years ago. She seldom calls us, and everytime we caught up to her, she always say that she's traveling around the world. Sho senpai always consent her, even though we know the real story. I still can't believe it. Our good and strong relationship has tainted when Silver's gone. I always wish that I can turn back time, but it seems like we're living in a nightmare. After our graduation, we bid our goodbyes and we never get completely ever again. Because our busy schedule and because of our study we forgot how we've been before. When Silver is alive, we were in our own selves. Everything seems perfect then, but it's only temporary.
My thoughts were disturb by the phone ringing in the side table of my bed. I answer the phone without looking at the caller.
"Hello?"
"Jiro, do you have time today?" The familiar voice sipped through my messy brain.
"Yuji? Why calling so early?" I said with groggy voice.
"Hey, why the sudden change of mood? Do you dream of her again?" I heaved a deep sigh before answering.
"Yeah, again."
"You still haven't moved on,, it's been eight years Jiro. You should've date someone. There are many girls out there."
"Silver is not just a 'girl' Yuji. I'm still in love with her."
"Okay, okay relax, I'm here tell you that we will meet after your shift, Ayaka will be with us."
"What's the point?"
