I walked through the doors of South High School after waking up bright and early on the sunny Monday morning. I walked through the hallways with a smile on my face, as per usual, as well as bright yellow sunflowers behind my back. This was an everyday occurrence, except the sunflowers, I've never brought her sunflowers before, I hope she likes them.

I walk up to her locker, which is surrounded by her and her friends, with a smile on my face and butterflies in my stomach. She always makes me nervous and giddy. My palms were slightly sweaty, I could feel the clamminess on my fingers.

"Hi Lauren," I greet her politely with a smile, just like every morning.

She rolled her eyes when she looked at me as well as a frown gracing her face, it made my heart feel heavy and it felt like my stomach dropped. "What do you want?" She asked with annoyance lacing her voice.

"I was wondering if you'd like to accompany me to dinner on Friday?" I asked her, "oh, and I brought you sunflowers," I said with a smile bringing them out from behind my back. "I picked them out this morning, their fresh," I added handing them to her.

"Oh my god," she sighed exasperatedly. "Y/n, how many fucking times do I have to tell you!" She huffed rolling her eyes grabbing the flowers out of my hands roughly and shoving them in her locker. "I don't like you! I never have and I never will! I have a boyfriend okay!" She yelled at me.

I felt sad. I felt sad because she yelled at me, I felt sad because she shoved the sunflowers in her locker, and I felt sad because she said no, again.

"Okay," I whispered in a defeated voice laying my head low, "have a good rest of your day ladies," I tell them sending them the brightest smile I could muster, I got looks of pity in return.

"You too Y/n," I hear Ally whisper. I always liked Ally, she was the nicest at of Lauren's friends.

I carry on the rest of the day in a bad mood. It got even worse than before because it seems like Lauren purposely engages in extremely inappropriate activities with her boyfriend, Brad, when she's sees me.

I don't understand why she always says no to me. I mean I understand that she has a boyfriend and all, but come on, he's a douche! And besides I used to ask her out even before they started dating.

The bell finally rings signaling the end of the day, it felt like today was especially slow. It also seemed like I saw Lauren and Brad more than usual today. Like every time I turn around there they are! Practically sucking off each other's faces, very unattractive I might add.

I made my way down the street, to my house, with my earbuds blasting my favorite band, The Beatles. Their music makes my enter a new world. With no worries at all.

Well that was until I felt something, very hard, hit the back of my neck. I turn around to see my tormentors, Brad and his gang of hooligans which consists of, Conner Ball, James McVey, and Tristen Evans.

I felt a pair of hands push my backwards which knocked me to the ground. I paused my music and took out my earbuds then slid them into my pocket. I paid good money for them, I'm so not gonna let them get broken by these guys.

"Stay away from my girlfriend bitch!" I hear Brad yell, gross his voice is the equivalent to nails on a chalkboard.

I rolled my eyes, "I can do whatever I want too," I told him standing up, which didn't last very long because he punched me in the face knocking me down again.

"Stay away from Lauren ugly dyke bitch!" He spat, wow, real original, I haven't heard that one before.

I felt multiple kicks to my side and stomach, before they told me to stay away from her again before they left.

Can they not form any other sentence?

I got up from the ground after regaining my vision, which was blurry, and caught my breath a little bit. I grunted and did my best to make my way home. Which, thankfully, wasn't very far away, two blocks at the most.

Well, I lied. It felt like I just walked half way across the damn world. That was literally the longest walk in the entire world. The whole time it felt like I was about to pass out, they can kick harder than you think.

I walked into my home and my nose was invaded by an amazing smell. Moms cooking, yes!

"Hey honey how was school?" I hear her shout from the kitchen.

"Fine," I mumble dropping my bag at the bottom of the staircase and make my way into the kitchen.

"Oh my god!" I hear my mom gasp, "what happened?!" She yelled running over to me my dad, who was sitting at the table reading the newspaper since he didn't get the chance to this morning.

"Nothing mom," I mumble not really in the mood to talk.

"This sure as hell doesn't look like nothing," my dad said inspecting my bruised face.

"It is, I promise, it doesn't even hurt," I tell them. My mom poked my face making me hiss in pain, "okay maybe it does hurt a little bit," I said.

"What happened Y/N, tell me the truth," my dad said sternly.

"Fine," I huffed, "it was Brad and his friends," I told them.

"Again?" My mom sighed, "I thought you said they stoped," she said.

"Yeah, they did," I sat down, "I guess they came out of retirement," I told them.

"Baby," my mom sighed bending down next to me, "did they hurt you anywhere else?" She asked my rubbing my head.

"Yeah," I mumble lifting up my shirt reveling my black and blue stomach.

"Oh my gosh," I hear her mumble with tears in her eyes, as well as my father.

"I'm sorry," I whispered, I don't really know what I'm sorry for, I just don't like seeing them cry.

"Oh baby you have absolutely nothing to be sorry for," she whispered bring me into a bear hug.

"Owww!" I whimper out in pain.

My mom immediately pulled away whispering an I'm sorry, "I think your ribs are broken," my dad whispered, my mom nodded in agreement, "I'll go get the wrap," he said leaving the room.

"I'll get you your dinner honey," my mom said caressing my cheek.

After we ate and my dad wrapped my ribs, we were talking at the table about our days. "Guys, I want to tell you something," I told them folding my hands together.

"What is it sweetheart?" My dad asked.

"I'm so sick and tired of being bullied and rejected by the only girl I've ever truly cared about," I sighed out, "I've never asked anything of you guys," I began which they both nodded too, "I want to move, anywhere, anywhere that isn't hear. I'm tired of always being in pain, both emotionally and physically," I told them with silent tears streaming down my face.

"If that's what you want to do, then that's what we'll do," my dad told me, "when do you want to leave?" He asked.

"Tomorrow, after school, I want to see her one last time," I told them.

"Okay, we'll get everything sorted out baby," my mom said kissing my head before excusing herself to her office, my dad copying her movements.

I released a deep sigh, this is really happening.
