It had been four months since I've been on tour with 5 Seconds of Summer. And it's been the best four months of my entire life. Probably because I was traveling the world with my four best friends and my boyfriend. Calum, Luke, Michael, his girlfriend Emma, Ashton, and I. It was a pretty good time.
It was 3 in the morning and all five of us were packed onto the tour bus. Even though All Time Low was blasting through the speakers at the highest volume possible, Emma and Michael were crammed into his bunk, fast asleep. Luke, Calum, Ashton, and I were in the back lounge, a forgotten movie playing quietly on the television as we talked. "Okay, but if you HAD to answer," Calum urged Ashton, "would you rather fuck Susan Boyle or a duck?" Luke burst out laughing as Ashton shook his head, "You are revolting. I am ashamed to have you as a friend." "You have to pick or..." Calum thought for a moment, "Or you have to break up with Y/N." Ashton groaned, "Come on now, that's not fair. Can't I just fuck HER instead?" I burst out laughing, burying my face into his shoulder. "Don't think we didn't hear you two last night, the whole damn hotel was shaking," Luke teased. I felt heat creeping up my neck, "Luke, come on." "Jealous?" Ashton shot back, a cocky grin on his face. "Why would he be jealous? He's got me, right, baby?" Calum said, turning towards Luke and sticking out his bottom lip. I giggled, a wave of pure bliss spreading throughout my whole entire body. I loved these boys so much, especially the one who was holding me in his arms. I sighed happily, closing my eyes and just listening to the three argue playfully. "Hey, turn the music down a little bit," Ashton said after a few minutes, "Y/N's asleep." I didn't actually mind the music, but I smiled to myself all the same, appreciating his concern. He really was an amazing guy. "She's asleep?" Calum asked, and I felt Ashton nod. "Good! We can talk about her now," Luke said, clapping his hands. My stomach jolted, a grin spreading across my face. I could tell Ashton was rolling his eyes even though I couldn't see his face. "So tell me," Calum said, making his voice deep and sexy, "is she good?" As well as the eye roll, I felt the redness creeping into his cheeks as his arms tightened around me. "I'm afraid I don't know what you're referencing," Ashton said, playing dumb. But we both definitely knew what Calum was talking about. "C'mon man, just answer the question. Michael did, you were there," Luke encouraged. There was a long pause before Ashton finally said, "Two words. Fucking. Amazing." Luke and Calum both yelled, "Oooooohhhhhh GET IT ASH!" "OI SHUT UP," Ashton whispered harshly, "don't wake her up." "Sorry mate," Luke said, still giggling. Calum punched his arm, "Shut up. There's more to say." "I was afraid of that," Ashton said, his voice weak. "What's your favorite thing about her?" He asked, leaning towards Ashton. "Hmm..." he said, rubbing small circles in my back with his thumb. "Telling us today would be nice," Luke said with a smirk. "I think, other than the fact that she's gorgeous as fuck, she makes me so happy. Like, I can't even explain it. It's so confusing, I just...I don't know. After Brooke just..." he trailed off, his voice cracking. Brooke was his previous girlfriend who had been cheating on him for months before Ashton caught her. He had been heartbroken. "I guess I forgot what love felt like. Y/N reintroduced me to that feeling. She's a million times better than Brooke anyway. Her long hair and beautiful eyes and just...ugh. I think..." his voice dropped to a whisper, "I think I'm in love with her." I was about to reply when I remembered that I was supposed to be asleep. It took everything in me not to say something. "Ya know what?" Luke said. "I think you are too. Just the way you look at her says it all." Calum nodded in agreement, "Brooke was a bitch anyway. Thank JESUS you're with Y/N now." Ashton laughed, "Alright boys. I'm gonna get some sleep. And I'm not getting up. Deal with it." "Night," Luke said, leaving through the sliding door. But Calum lingered for a moment. "Do you really love her?" he asked seriously. Ashton sighed, "Yeah. Yeah, I do." Calum smiled, "Night man."
A few minutes later when we were alone at last, I murmured, "I love you too, Ash."
