Chapter 15 - It Was All A Lie

Minakos POV
I walked home from another mission, bored out of my mind!I called Killua to tell him I was coming home when he told me he and Gon were going to the Whale Island to visit Gon's family.'Guess I would just hang out with my siblings' I thought as I neared the house.I walked in about to yell I'm home like I always did when I remembered what happened the last time.So, for the sake of not loosing my siblings again, I just walked in silently.
"You know, we can't hide it forever"I heard Wendy say in the kitchen.'Hide what?'
"I know, I know...but I want her thinking of him as a dead person just for a little while longer..."Natsu said back.'Think of who as dead?'
"He is probably after Minako..."he added. 'Who is after me?'
"And why do you want her to think of him as dead?"Killua asked.'Wait,Killua?!'
"Cause he thinks it's better for Minako to think of Zentaro as dead than knowing he was the one who killed their parents and nearly killed Natsu"Gon said.That's when I snapped.
"Zentaro was the one who killed our parents and nearly killed Natsu and you were hiding it from me?!"I yelled as I finally showed myself by stepping a foot into the kitchen to regret it soon afterwards.There stood my brother, Natsu, all bloodied with heavy wounds all over him.My sister Wendy, boyfriend Killua and best friend Gon all stood on the side, bruised and covered in smaller but just as deep cuts.My gaze glued to the floor, eyes emotionless.
"Who did this to you?"I asked, my voice cold.
"Minako, no need to cry, it wi-"I cut him off.
"What will it be, Natsu?Because I know one thing for sure, and that is that it won't be fine!Just look at yourself!You, the heartless fire dragon, are covered in injuries from head to toe, bleeding heavily, and the others are no better!"I yelled unlocking my gaze from the floor, looking at my injured brother one more time before running into my room and packing my bag.I couldn't stand being the reason why my closest friends and my family were getting hurt.'He is after me, right?So if I leave, he leaves as well!' I thought as I stuffed the last thing I needed into my bag, closing it.Just then, Killua kicked the door open with tears in his eyes.
"Minako!Please don't go!Please, please don't leave me!"he yelled as I stood next to a window.He neared me very slowly and carefully.
"I'm sorry Killua, this is for the best.Take care, OK?"I said back.
3rd POV
Not waiting for a reply, Minako opened the window and stood on its edge.Killua ran towards her as fast as he could in his current state.
"I love you"she said turning around and jumping out of the window, missing his hands by just a bit.
"MINAKOOO!!!"Killua screamed after her as he leaned on the window for support.He cried and screamed her name next to the window until he couldn't scream or cry anymore.

Killuas POV
'I failed.I lost her.She ran away on her own free will, probably never wanting to see me again.
I'm such an idiot.She was so happy that we were living together, that her siblings weren't dead and that she won't become a bloodthirsty demon and kill us all.After all she's been through, she was finally truly happy, and I ruined it all.All the efforts Natsu and Wendy, and I guess Zentaro, put into making her happy flew down the river, just because I wasn't fast enough to catch her and had the courage to lie to her after everything.' I thought as I dragged my feet down the stairs, not wanting to be alive anymore.
' "STOP SAYING MY NAME OUT LOUD, WILL YOU?!?!?!"     "I'm Minako"     "He is so cute when he is angry"     "Now that's one hell of a big pig!I wanna ride it!Now!"     "My older brother, Hattori Natsu, as well known as the heartless fire dragon"     "I'm sorry, you okay?"     "See ya later!" ' I could hear her saying all those things even before we were together.Even if it was a month ago, I could still feel the last time her soft lips touched mine.There still seemed to be a single drop of water in my body, because that is when the last one fell.I didn't notice where I was going and I honestly didn't care even if I bumped into Natsu.He was all healed again, not a single scratch.That is, except that giant whole in his heart.I felt someone grab my shoulders and shake them very hard.
"What the hell is wrong with you?!Put yourself together!Minako needs us to rescue her and you mister are going with us, it doesn't matter if you walk on your own or I carry your unconscious body!"Natsu yelled as he slowly stopped shaking me.
"No matter how much I deny it, I know that Minako is growing up and that she will need someone to protect her, once I'm not here anymore.She needs you, Killua.Now lets go.Gon and Wendy are waiting and Zentaro is probably after her as we speak"he said seriously then pulled me out the door.Minako, where ever you are, please, just wait a bit longer.

Fact about me #2:
I recently broke my ankle and now I have my first plaster!Even if it is just my ankle that broke, the plaster is covering everything from my toes to my knee.Hope you have a nice day!
