Chapter 4 - An early morning encounter

It was 6:00 AM in the morning I was waking up just to take a walk down to where that fortune teller was....I had to get a couple of hot cocoa for me and Shadow because the morning was a little cold this time of day around here....but I highly doubt he or Amy want any but to my surprise look who I see.... a certain blue hedgehog who was walking on the same path as I am (he was wearing that usual outfit (a black short sleeve shirt with gold glitter, black skinny jeans, old grey gloves, and a pair of old black sneakers) with the eyepatch on his right eye) he was definitely by himself and walking right passed the fortune tellers good luck charm shop.....he was oblivious when he sees me I said, well well....what are the off chances of us walking in the same path? He just turned away as if I insulted him.... then I said grinning, wow you really shouldn't be by yourself this time of day dark orphan.... he said irritated, DON'T FUCKING EVER CALL ME DARK ORPHAN!! He sat on the bench and shook like a leaf as he whispered in an cold voice, why does it always haft to be cold?....I look at one of the hot chocolates and gave it to him.....I said as I handed to him, here...*he just looked at me like I was about to spill it on him but I wasn't I gave him a small smile*...it will keep you from getting cold....trust me...he took the hot cocoa as he whispered, umm.....Knuckles....I...... The echidna smiled as he sat down next to him with his and said, hey it's the least I can do.....so tell me....why the heck are you walking all by yourself for? He took a sip of the hot chocolate, looked away, *which I coulda sworn he blushed* and answered cold but calmly, well....I always walk out here every morning....my Big brother said it helps me freshen up a bit....plus it eases up my stress a bit..... I was surprised it's the first times he's been calm...cold but calm...I never knew that side of him...we just met and already I'm starting to get to know him... I said, well that explains it...hey how old are you? He said stiffly, 14.... I repeated, 14?....wow you're about....around my age.... he said, around your age...are you 14 years old too? I nodded.....there was a awkward but silent moment between us it's really feels....somehow good....his uncovered eye was sparkling none-stop..... he stood and said, I better be heading back my brother and the others are probably awake by now... I stood and said, yeah same here..... then we walked away from each other for some reason I felt kinda close towards him...
