Darkness. Light didn't exist in his eyes. He knew absolutely nothing about the world, nothing about his surroundings, and nothing about himself. But he didn't care one bit. A free spirit he was, well when he can be. He knew his surroundings from left to right, knew the directions to every place in his hometown, even though he couldn't see his way through, that didn't stop him from blending in with everyone else. Nothing was different between him and the guy to his left, to his right, in front or in back, they were all seen as regular people, but he just had some extra baggage. Harry was born blind. He never questioned why him, he's never blamed god, he's never thought of himself as an outcast. He liked to think everyone had problems like his to make himself feel better, but he stopped that just as soon as someone made him believe he was the most precious thing in the world. He stopped trying to make himself less of an outcast and focused on the words telling him how beautiful he was, how amazing he is, and how special he was. His world began revolving around the one who made him stop believing he was a different type of species with some disorder. His mind turned from 'Oh I can't do this without looking like that' and turned into 'Who gives a fuck what people think of me'. And Zayn was the one who lured him away from societies evil views and insults, the one who freed Harry from becoming a robot and doing things to make himself fit in with the human population. But that's not him. He's known from day one how hard the world would be on him, but neither him nor Zayn would give the world the upper hand in treating him as a handy cap. Even though the couple are perfectly happy, both can't help but feel guilty for not giving each other certain things. Harry hates himself for not being able to give Zayn what he truly needs. A boyfriend who can see, who he can go out with and go to the movies, or an amusement park, or to the beach where he literally doesn't need someone taking care of him all the time. But at the same time Zayn feels the same way, in an opposite way. He doesn't believe he deserves Harry, thinks Harry is to perfect for him. He feels like he can't give Harry what he truly deserves. He wants to show Harry the world, but he can't. He wants to give Harry the satisfaction of knowing how his favorite animal looks like or how pretty his favorite color is. Harry's favorite color is blue, because he likes the way is sounds, Zayn just wants the words to describe everything to him so he can make up his own world. He wants to show him the simple things that would be appreciated by him, but he can't. That's another thing, Harry appreciates everything like no one else. Others see everything but actually see nothing, but not Harry, he sees nothing but sees everything. That's what makes Zayn love him ten times more. The fact that Harry loves him for him and not for how he looks like, what he has, or any of that, because he obviously knows Harry doesn't care.
Harry would give up anything in the world just to finally be able to tell his boyfriend how beautiful he is. Yeah he can tell him he's beautiful but he wants to tell him from appearance wise, not from personality. Zayns personality is a gem to Harry, he loves everything about Zayn, the way his hair feels, the way his skin feels against his, how his voice makes him feel, but most importantly, how Zayn treats him no different than if he could actually see. He doesn't sympathize for Harry, doesn't treat him or talk to him like he's disabled, but just treats him like a true Prince.

The times most enjoyable to Harry, other than his times with Zayn, are when he's sleeping. People may not know this, but blind peoples dreams are more vivid than the average person. Their dreams are the only time they can see anything and everything. They see purples, reds, blues, pinks, yellows, oranges, greens, browns, and whites. They see in full color, full figures, and their minds make up what they can't see in such accuracy its unbelievable. Those were Harry's favorite times. The only thing that bums Harry about his dreams is that he can't control what he dreams of. He wishes he can dream about Zayn, to finally get a glimpse of how he looks like, how his mum looks like, sister, cat, friends, and even himself. That's his #1 curiosity, himself. People are always telling him how cute, hot. gorgeous, beautiful he is. Yet he never understood why. Yeah he has curly hair, green eyes, porcelain skin, a tall lean figure with skinny legs, but to him he sounds like a total mess, while to others he looks like some sort of Calvin Klein model. Harry never wishes for things, he doesn't believe I'm those types of things, but every night he wishes to finally be able to see the love of his life right before his eyes, just one time. Zayn described himself to Harry thousands of times. He has black straight hair put up into a quiff, tan skin, amber eyes, light stubble, a skinny torso, long legs, tattoos covering his right arm, some scattered on his left arm, chest, waist, back, and left leg. Harry didn't know what tattoos were, so Zayn always tried his best to describe the designs to Harry. Harry loved when Zayn would describe things to him, he knows it frustrates Zayn when he can't find the right words but he loves the effort Zayn puts into it just to make him happy. To Harry, the definition of love was literally Zayn. Every morning to every night all he would hear was Zayn telling him he loves him, before he went to sleep to after he woke up. He's never missed a day.
