"Please."

"I can't."

"Babe, please."

"No."

"Pretty please."

Cat swiveled around in her office chair and looked at her boyfriend. "Steven, I can't. I have to write this chapter. My publisher wants it by this weekend."

"You're no fun," he pouted, laying on the couch. "I just wanted to make out."

She laughed and turned back around. "I love you."

"Woe is me!" He sighed dramatically. "But I love you too. I'm bored."

"Go onto your old Facebook account. That's what I do when I'm bored. You posted a lot of cringey stuff."

"You stalk my old Facebook?"

"Duh. It's entertaining."

Steven laughed. "Fine. I don't even know if I remember my sign in..." he trailed off.

The two sat in silence for a good ten or so minutes. The only sound was the click of Cat's nails on her keyboard.

Suddenly, Steven sat up. "Holy shit."

"Language," she scolded.

"You have no room to talk."

"I know," she giggled. "What's up?"

"Our high school reunion is next week."

That grabbed her attention. She swirled back around. "What?"

"Yeah. Someone from school I was friends with reposted it."

It was silent once again, but for a much shorter time. "Are we gonna go? It's an 8 hour drive from New York City to Columbus."

"We could take a plane. We have the money."

"I don't know. I haven't talked to any of them in years. It would be weird."

"If you don't wanna go we don't have to," Steven told her.

Cat sighed and turned back around, opening a new tab. "I'm booking tickets now."
