a crooked smile
a laugh to deflect the pain
a crazed look of adrenaline-infused distractions
all like fake masks
painted gold, but completely worthless
an alternate persona
of fictional wealth and happiness
put on to hide
self-esteem so low
that it could collapse the mind
into total madness.
