each day my heart pains a little more. i have no control over whats happened, but i cant help but put all the blame on myself.

maybe if i tried a little harder, been a little nicer, things could have turned out better for me.

i don't wanna be selfish, but i cant help it i'm jealous.

in the end, as long as there is a smile on her face i'm content.

and even if i wasn't good at showing it, i loved her. 

narrator pov

chanyeol watched as the new couple walked hand in hand down the hallway. their giggles echoed throughout, and all heads watched the picture perfect romance.

yes, thats was y/n and baek.

its been a few months since all the drama between the three went down, but in the end you and baekhyun gave it a shot.

of course you tried to meet up with chanyeol and talk things out, but there was no luck. he was barely around at school ever since you and baekhyun made it official, and when he was it was a new girl latched around his arm.

but something was different, those girls almost looked like fillers. you never saw him smile anymore, and you couldn't help but think its your fault.

at one point you felt something for him, but baekhyun is the one your heart ached for. why is it that your feelings doubted you every time?

"baekhyunnnnnn stooooopppp" you whined as he was poking your sides repeatedly.

"let me finish my homework then we'll go out okay?" you give him a soft smile.

"yes, works every-time!" he replied happily before cuddling right next to you, surrounded by textbooks and papers.

you rolled your eyes at the boy who was so childish at times, the boy you fell in love with.

soon your studying was interrupted by a doorbell.

"ill get it, keep studying" baek said while leaving your door with a thumbs up of encouragement.

in a matter of minutes he came back holding a white envelope.

on the front in black ink it wrote:

for y/n

you looked at him suspiciously. shouldn't my mail be delivered to my mailbox?

"whats this?" i asked baekhyun

"i don't know, it was on the floor outside the door. no one was there when i answered" he said with the shrug of his shoulders. 

i snatched the rectangular paper from his hands before ripping it open swiftly. 

unraveling the letter that was inside, it read:

dear y/n,

i'm sorry for this sudden, and old fashioned way of communication. i just couldn't bring myself to face you, call you, or even text you.

i'm also sorry to baekhyun for being a bad best friend, tell him that when you see him haha.

and sorry for manipulating your best friend i guess i really could never get rid of my playboy ways huh.

and the time i was actually willing to become better for this certain girl, things were very short lived.

i know i cant have you y/n, but i cant leave without saying this either.

i love you, and in thankful to you for changing me in many ways, and dealing with my stubbornness. i wish you and baekhyun the best.

oh, and dont worry about me, ill be on a plane by the time you finish reading this :)

i noticed a small tear fall from my eye that was quickly wiped by beakhyun, who was reading the letter from behind me.

he engulfed me in a hug, which just made my tears fall even more.

"i should have at least been able to say a proper goodbye" i said softly.

"chanyeol will be okay y/n, he's gonna live a new good life okay" beakhyun replied, using his sweater to dry my stained cheeks.

im sorry chanyeol.

and das the end, quite depressing but you end up w baek, and chanyeol moves away in hopes for a fresh start!

i rlly just wanted to wrap up this book bc ive been dragging it on for too long LOL.

im gonna start some other stories, which will be posted more consistently😂
