Feeling sick from the metallic smell of blood, she told Grey to continue, while she goes out in the fresh air. Walking outside on the crunched leaves, she breathed in the fresh air. Sitting under a tree, she was consumed by lots of thoughts. However, sleep overtook her as she was thinking, her mind tired of working 24/7.
A scream tore through her like a great shard of glass, waking her up. She felt her eyes widen and pulse quicken, her heart thudding like a rock rattling in a box. The scream came again. Desperate, terrified...human. The blood drained from her face. Before she was even aware of making a conscious decision, her legs were pounding furiously on the uneven muddy track. She opened the front door quietly at the same time she hung up on the police after describing what she had heard and them hacking her mobile phone so that they could track her location. She scanned the house, finding a shimmer of light that came from behind the door on her right. She tip-toed towards it, trying as hard as she can to not make a sound. Slowly, she opened the door. Flora's eyes popped out once she took in the scene in front of her. The Judge, Horran Columbus, was dead on the floor. He was pale as a sheet of white paper. His chalky face was gaunt and immobile. His eyes were dilated, while froth trickled down the side of his mouth.
Glancing up, she saw the same man she saw leaning on the rail of the stairs at the Judge's house. His clothes were battered with blood.
"What did you do?!" Flora screeched out.
"I murdered him as you ordered?" He said, but it came out more as a question.
"You psycho! I would never order someone to do that-that merciless thing to a human being!" She glared at him anger boiling her blood. "How dare you accuse me of doing this?!"
The man looked at her puzzled.
Opening his mouth to say something, he was interrupted by the sound of sirens.
"What did you do you b****!"he hollered.
"Stand in your place!" A police officer clamoured.
Grey looked at Flora in her eyes, betrayal swirling through his eyes.
"Never knew that you would be the reason for me to enter prison, sis."he glared at her.
"You need to come with us too." The police officer ordered Flora.
Nodding, she slouched after them.
