Stevie struggled to lug the bulked up suitcase down the hall, huffing and resting against the wall. "Joe can you help me please?"Joe sat on the couch, a beer in hand. He glanced over his shoulder at her, turning back towards the tv and turning up the volume.
Stevie starred at him in disbelief. "You're really going to be a dick about this?"
He just shrugged, not even bothering too look at her.
Stevie grit her teeth, yanking on the suitcase with all of her strength. She stumbled, swearing and kicking the suit case.
They heard a knock on the door, both their heads turning towards the sound.
Joe went to stand, Stevie pushing him back down on the couch as she passed him to the front door.
She opened it, not even realizing she was smiling when she saw him. "Hey."
"Hey." Lindsey responded, grinning down at her. They just stood there, smiling at one another.
Joe cleared his throat, making his presence known. The smile fell of Stevie's face, Lindsey offering him his hand.
"Lindsey Buckingham."
Joe just stood with his arms crossed. "I know who you are."
Lindsey awkwardly dropped his hand, scratching the back of his head. "Should we get going?"
Stevie nodded quickly, reaching for her suitcase.
"I've got it." Lindsey took the handle from her, lifting it with ease. Stevie grinned at him.
Joe noticed the tiny interaction between his girlfriend and the famous guitar player, standing in the front door of their shabby apartment, he felt inferior.
Grabbing Stevie by the face, he smashed his lips against hers. She gasped in surprise, squeezing his side warningly when his tongue slipped in to her mouth. She pushed him away, glaring at him.
Without saying another word she passed both men, walking down the stairs.
Lindsey stood awkwardly with Joe. "It was nice meeting you."
"Like wise." Joe spat out, glaring at him as he traveled down the stairs.
He watched as Lindsey opened the door for Stevie, rolling his eyes.
Putting her suitcase in the trunk, he rounded the car and got in the drivers seat. He glanced out the window, seeing Joe glowering at them.
"He seems nice." Sarcasm dripping in his voice.
"He loves me." Stevie sniped at him.
"Do you love him?"
Stevie's breath caught in her throat, not being able to make her voice work.
Lindsey smirked over at him, Stevie glaring. "Yes I love him."
"Sure took you a long time to respond."
