Ella's P.O.V
I walk through the halls with my best friends by my side. Kiley, and Rhiannon. No we're not popular. And no we're not basic. We're in the middle as you would say. I have a thing for boy bands so does my best friends. "Hey whats up?" Caleb says as he approaches us.
"Nothing really just walking," Kiley says as she grabs his hand. "It's time for fourth block right?" I asked smiling at Mark as i passe him. "So what's up with you and Mark?" Rhiannon says finally peeping. "Oh nothing. We're just good friends," I said walking up the stairs with her behind me and Kiley still walking with Caleb to their next class.
"Yeah 'good friends'" She says emphasizing the 'good friends'. "Yeah it's true. I just don't want to be in a relationship right now," I say getting in Mrs. Meyer's classroom. "Come on you're a senior now! Get a boyfriend!" She says half screaming as she takes the seat right beside me.
"No i don't have time for drama," I said taking my pen and my notebook out getting ready to take notes. "Well you do have a point there" She says doing the same thing. "Exactly, so don't ever bring boys up. Until its like time for prom or something," I said looking at the smart board.
"Hello class," Mrs. Meyer says as she gets in the classroom in her usual outfit. "Hello Mrs. Meyer," We all say tiredly. And that class went on for about an hour and a half. "Hey Kiley are you gonna be riding with me or with Caleb?" I ask Kiley as i put everything in my locker.
"I think I'm gonna go with Caleb," She says walking beside me. "Well i guess its gonna be Rhiannon and I riding in my car" I say stopping at Rhiannon's locker. "Yeah Caleb said she was gonna take me on a date, that's why i cant go with you guys," Kiley says.
"Well you can go now, he's at the end of the hall waiting for you with flowers," Rhiannon and I both said at the same time. "Alright you guys. Ill see you tomorrow!" She says waving at us while also running to her man.
"Well let's go to my car and drive somewhere to eat I'm hungry," I said as i ran. Not knowing where i was going i ran into somebody. "Hey watch out where your going," A familiar voice says. "Oh I'm so sorry, I'm just hungry and i really need food," I said as i looked up and saw who it was.
Of course it was Mark. "Hey," I said while smiling and hugging him. "Hey," He says smiling back while hugging me back too. "OK love birds, it's time to go Ella I'm hungry and if i don't get food soon I'm gonna eat both of your flesh," Rhiannon said rather aggressively.
"Alright Ms. Witch Lady," Mark says letting me go. "Hey i am not a witch!" Rhiannon says pointing a finger at him. Not the middle finger but the pointer finger. "Hey Mark, would you like to go to Nandos with Rhiannon and I?" I asked Mark without Rhiannon's permission.
"Yeah sure, that sounds yummy," He says opening the door for me and Rhiannon. "Hey at least you don't have to ride the bus today," I said walking out of the school building. "Yeah i know thank you," Mark says following both Rhiannon and I to my car.
"Who's sitting upfront with me?" I asked both Rhiannon and Mark. "Ill let Rhiannon sit up front," Mark says politely while opening her door. "Thank you," Rhiannon says while getting in the passenger seat up front. "Mark you can get in. I can open my door," I said opening the drivers door open and getting in.
I walk in Nandos hoping my Sydney is in there working. "Hey where's Sydney?" Rhiannon whispers as a hostess gets us a booth. "I don't really know. It's Friday she should be here," I said following the hostess to a booth with Rhiannon and Mark behind me.
"Maybe she's sick?" Rhiannon says sliding in and me right behind her. "I don't think she's sick," I said suddenly getting worried. "What do you think then?" Rhiannon asks. "I don't know maybe she texted me," I said checking my phone. And there it is a text from Sydney.
"She did text me," I said opening the text message. "What does it say?" Rhiannon asks. "It says, Hey Ella! I'm sorry but I'm not gonna be working today and for the rest of the weekend, as you know my mom well she died so we're planning her funeral right now, and you can come if you want, thanks for understanding bye! xoxo- Sydney," I say looking down trying hard not to cry.
"Hello my name is Marissa, and I'm gonna be your order taker. What kind of drinks would you guys want?" She says smiling basically just ruining the moment. "Ill get a Pepsi please" Mark says politely while smiling at Marissa.
"What about you ladies?" She asks smiling at Rhiannon and I. "I'll also get a Pepsi," I said fake smiling at her. "Me too," Rhiannon says fake smiling at her also. "OK thank you, ill be right back with your drinks," Marissa says smiling at us and leaving the table.
"What are we gonna do?" Rhiannon asks. And for some reason that kept echoing in my head.
